The Real Japan VS Anime Japan

I heard a lot of things about 'the real Japan' that they are nothing like the Japan depicted in anime and manga.
Like an internet article I read that an American went to become a Japanese citizen and was dissappointed at how much Japanese Rice Industry insulted foreign country's agriculture.

So, what do people of animea think? Is the Anime Japan a disillusion to the real Japan? or is there no way that people can be that different in their media depiction?

I cannot actually say how it is over there and how is not. However, in my opinion, the representation that is given in animes is likely to be more of a way of how its imagined in their eyes, or just how they might want it to be.

i agree on that, i think that in the anime they want to make the setting match the anime

My Uncle and Aunt have been living there for a number of years
They said the system in place is very racist and forieign people have no rights
If you are assulted no point going to the police because they wont do anything about it
If you defeneded your self from an attacker you'd be the one to be punnished you'd loose everything you own in the country and get deported

My uncle also claims that the Japanese work ethic is not what we are lead to believe according to the stereo type they work really hard
He says in the offices he's worked in they just work and when they work it is slow and meticulous
He says he only works half days because he gets all the work that needs to be done finnished by lunch while his co-workers do stuff like organize their files ten times over

I am guessing that sort of things are same in any country.
I even fought with Racist Japanese on internet forums.

On the first day I arrived at Japan, I seen two Japanese salary man have a drunk fight.
Seriously dissappointing. I think the trick is to never stay there too long.

Unfortunatly we will find racist people in all cultures and civilizations what I was highlighting was racisim in the system itself
I have to say allot of countries that are developed to the same standard as Japan treat immigrants very well
like yesterday I saw in the news that an Irish youth got 5 years in prison for assaulting a Nigerian immagrant because he was black
I know that in under developed countries the system deniying outsiders basic rights is comon place but I would have expected better from Japan
or maybe I'm just too used to living in the European Union?

You seem to be basing this on real life stereotypes rather than what's shown in anime.

I said I felt dissappointed, would you like bold letters for easier understanding of where the emphasis lies?
Posting in a thread does not always imply the individual posts carry the same sentiment as posts above. Wouldn't you be disappointed if a place you always wanted to go had drunk people fighting or a bar fight?

No I'd just say it's allot like home or England or America or just anywhere were alcohol is consumed
Alcohol kills inhibition so you can expect fights to break out between people who have drank too much and have lost the ability to reason
