Bingo. True its very harsh, but its probably the best method. However, the US will never be able to do this cause it brings up a bunch of moral problems wrong with doing it

If we pull out right now the new government wouldn't have a chance it would be the best armed warlord victorious within day. So we have to stay in for a while longer. We won't have to stay forever but we do need to wait untill they at least have a chance of defending themselves. It may take years but eventually it will happen especially once the countries infastructure is rebuilt once people have decent roads, schols and hospitals they become much less unruley and easier to deal with.

so you are saying that we ought to sacrifice the lives of our soldiers and keep going further into debt just for them? Sorry, Im not that compassionate. The lives of Americans means something to me, not so much as the lives of the Iraqis

Well I'm just saying that now we've butted into their country and fucked alot of things up (like their entire civil structure regardless of how bad and discriminate it was before its worse now) we kind of have an obligation to see it through. I also value the lives of our troops more than the iraqis especially as I have some friends and family serving over there but my personal view is if you break someonelse stuff you gotta stick around and fix it.

I agree that if you break someone else's stuff you should stick around and fix it. But America isn't really doing that, it's more like they're just replacing it with another "ideal."

Shortly before the war began there was a televised debate on the BBC there was a pannel of people in New York and a Panel of People in Jordan discussing the effects the war would have. One woman on the American panel said America is the only super power it is our responsiblity to go into Iraq and introduce our values to the middle east. I think that under lines the peoblem the west has with dealing with the middle east we go in there with our values which are Christian valuesand expect them to comform when this region has a completely different culture and set of values based on a different religion which will ultimatly cause friction if you go in there with that mind set.
Ironically the Jordanians warned that the situation that exists now in Iraq would come to be

The US has invested way too much money on Iraq to just simply leave empty handed. We all know why Bush attacked Iraq and they ain't leaving until they get that piece of the pie.

Well, Iraq wants to try and become a peaceful country with democracy thanks to their own country's soccer team, who participate in order to display that Iraq will become a peaceful country someday. However thanks to the america's ideal of trying to resolve Iraq's problems of terrorism and sharehold, both country's are still at war as well as there have been issues where people from Iraq are still fighting against each other. Mainly the issue of the Taliban(I think) or other Iraq war leaders wanting to have complete control over the country.

Most of the Australian troops have already been pulled out of Iraq by Kevin Rudd seeing as he doesn't want any more of Australian soldiers to die there. This is simply because Australia can't seem to do much to resolve Iraq's problems as well as I don't think America's troops will leave Iraq until they sought out the problems existing in Iraq.
