(character design description)
hmm, i think i will just state my main character's appearance. since i personally place females higher than males, my anime's (well, even though its an anime, i already have the novel and game version in my head, manga....i don't know...."maybe" will too) main char is female her name is Yuki, clothing probably go with the style similar to kimono or medieval Chinese clothes but with modifications to the bottom half part to allow more freedom of movement, long white hair to the waist (was considering to her knee but kinda drop it cause she's going into action)o with fox ear and tail. Her eye colour is violet.

in the chinese and japanese myth, it is believe that animals who undergoes spiritual training can gain human forms, and the animal most often being mentioned who takes on human form is fox, and ya, Yuki is a fox with a single tail (in the anime world's training, fox pupils first have to gain human form, and as their training take them further, they will then gain in number of their tails, with the maximum of 9 tails (*extremely rare*) that is her form in the beginning, a fox pupil that has just gain her human form and as her storyline goes on, she will gain other appearances other than her number of tails.

Preface: just post here so the outline can be easier to understand, but it actually outlines the main plot, so its your choice whether you read it or not.

In the beginning, where there is only chaos, the Light emerged. She creates the galaxy (image, very much like when the Golden Tribe which create the galaxy in Heroic Age, but with only her this time). But unbeknownst by her, she is not the first and only being emerge from chaos. Another being, Dark, while Light is preoccupied with the creation of galaxy (and with it, life), he proceed with his own plan. When the galaxy is

finished, for a while, it was good (i just mean it was quite peaceful in that period of time, but as some can see, its a quote from a movie, very classic one at that. ) Until Dark forcefully takes over the Light's creation. Light, drained from the work she had done creating the galaxy, can not stop Dark from taking over. Fortunately, before she can be captured by Dark, she breaks herself into four pieces (maybe i should explain this, she is an energy form then, so don't imagine anything really disgusting), Heart of Light, Knowledge of Light, Protection of Light and Power of Light. Then she disappeared, before Dark's furious eyes, into her own creation......

(now the story is set in an alt-earth type background, so most of the country i mentioned in there just indicate the culture, will probably change to other name in the story)

In China, at the tip of the mountain of eternal snow, exists a gate. Beyond the gates, a village lies. The view of the village is totally different than that of the mountain top (which was snowing blizzard). The village is like that of a springtime farming village, with no farm animals present. The sun has just risen, and the village is really sleepily peaceful.
"Yuki!!!"
An elderly shout pierce the air, shook the whole village, breaking the perfectly peaceful silence of the morning.
Villager start to appear in the doorways with expressions that seems they are used to the morning shout.
"They are at it again." some said, clearly displaying the intent to see another live comedy show.
The villagers, although having the looks of human, have small differences that says they are not. (description refer to the character design) Strangely though, there are no males in them.
A young girl (looks about the age of 10) dashes through the main road of the village, sticking her tongue at the on-looking by-standers. Those who sees that returns a half joke, half malicious smile.
Just moments later an elderly woman dashes...or should say fly down the village road, chasing after Yuki.
"What have she done this time?" one asked.
"Seems like she gone out of the protective barrier again without permission."
"Why so mad? most of us have done that in our times."
"Not if you attract 5 demons right to the front gate."
"But doesn't the guards at the gate...."
"She drugged and spelled them to sleep on her way out."
All listeners "....."
"She's doomed." all thinks.

Below the Tower of Training, Elder _______ caught up with Yuki.
Holding her by the neck, the Elder inquired. "What do you think you were doing!?"
"I want to go outside!" Yuki replied.

In medieval China, in a dimension seal off by their own magic, lives a clan of Spirit Foxes (name suggestion please, this is Yuki's clan from the character post). There, lives a devil, Yuki. Outward, energetic, are her best features, and she excel in about every task her teacher is able to put into her hand. Doesn't seem like a bad girl, other than the fact from her unparalleled ability to get into trouble, and she loves fun.....which is build on most others pain. Despite that, she is still being loved by people of her clan.

She grow, in appearance and in spirit power (a.k.a her number of tails). Seeing her potential, people of the clan sees in her a long peaceful time under her commend when she becomes the Leader (still, name suggestion please). Upon the growth of the second tail, pupils are given assignments in other reigns, starts from collecting medical herbs that only grow in certain parts of the world that's not in the clan's sealed off world, then becomes harder, such as the examination/repairing of the clan world's dimension seal, guarding the Passage in and out of the clan world, and then the hardest, eliminate ill wishers, originally its just to stop greedy humans who learns of the clan by careless pupils, which recently becomes to banish demons that appears more and more often. Fortunately, even though the 2~3 tail pupils are not strong enough to defend themselves, it doesn't take any more than a finger snap to kill the demons for 6 tails and up.

Yuki, despite the demon invasion (kinda want another word, cause it isn't as serious as that) is still quite she own happy self (causing mischief....mostly) due to the harsh trainings given my her teachers(i wouldn't even call that training though, even if she maybe stuck by the training for some time...as mentioned before she learns quickly). Even when she was just a 3 tail, she is able to kill a demon single handedly (well, not by pure force, by her head....), and her speed in the growth of tail number is unheard of in the clan (btw, the training that have to be gone through to gain each tail, that difficulty only becomes harder exponentially).

No one know when it begins, but people of the clan who went on assignments start to disappear, at the start, people thought it was demons again because it was a 3 tail. But when a 5 tail disappeared, people become worried.

(there is actually interaction with humans in the story, but most of them are quite minor compare to the other so i left it unmentioned)

During a group assignment, Yuki, as her usually self, finish her part quickly and escaped to do her own adventuring, but when she realize some hours afterward that no one is looking for her. When she return to where the others have been working, she found them lying on the ground, dead, with expression of disbelief on their faces. She learns, that the one who kills them are none other then one of the 3 Elders (9 tails). He has been dealing with the demons and has betrayed the clan. Returned with the news of that Elder's betrayal, only some small minority who can't change the decision of the event believe her. Yuki is then locked up. Clan's people forget about the matter...until demons breaks through the dimensional barrier.

When all seems lost, Yuki's cell exploded. A piece in Yuki has awakened, the Heart of Light, which increase her tail number (she was 6 tail, then becomes 9). Through harsh battles, she lay waste to the betrayed Elder, but she awaken too late, only an Elder survived, and her wound is too deep for any power to heal. The Elder who treat Yuki as her own (should have mention this earlier, almost every fox pupil is practically an orphan for when spiritual power is discovered in them they are taken into the clan), before her death, she told Yuki of the sacred lake, if she is able to perform the forbidden spell of time(which is very difficult even for 9 tails), she may be able to enter the time stream, and maybe able to save the clan from their demise. Yuki buried all the clan's bodies. Gone through the ritual (forgot the name in English, but its the ritual for when someone died), while at the same time study the time spell. After the ritual is done, she, with the help of the piece of Light, enters the time stream....alone.

It needs to hide. It has already being found once, and barely escaped. Parts of it have been taken away from it, converted and used to do Dark's bidding. It must not be captured again, it is the only hope to bring the parts back together. it waited.

stepping into the stream of time, the flow of it overwhelmed Yuki, like someone who struggle against the might of ocean tide, she can barely steady herself, let along knowing where and how to get to the past. Before long, she exhaust herself. She can only watch helplessly as she got swept away by the flooding time, but just before she lost consciousness, she feel something approach her saying "You came..."

Yuki awaken in a world she do not know, a place thats in no way resemble the world she had live in. Metallic wastes pile up everywhere (please imagine the future scene from the second and third movie of the Terminator series, i think its kinda close to what I'm imagining). But she have no such leisure to wonder too much about such things. For moments after she emerged from the metal box she was lying in (actually some sort of van size vehicle), she experience heavy artillery fire with speed she thought impossible (well, you can't expect someone from her era of time to know something like "bullets" ). To her surprise while she counter attack the enemies, (oh, thought i should mention, her weapon right now and before is several Chinese sword, a kind of double blade sword with the thickness, length and width close to that of a samurai katana) she feel no sign of life on these human looking "things".

Slashing down one after one of these what she later known as "Robots", she feel that her strength is dropping, but these guys keep coming, rows upon rows of them, one dropped, the other step over it, keeps coming. She feels more despair than she had felt when she confronts the Betrayed Elder. Tears flow, is she going to die here? when she still have done nothing about the annihilation of her clan?

Just then, she feels it, several humans, their soul radiating like sun in Yuki's mind's eye.

Upon sensing the humans, relief rush over Yuki, and she fights to cover the distance between them. but before she comes into view range with the humans, they activate something. A full parameter shock wave is send out from where the humans stood. When the wave pass through Yuki, her body doesn't feel it, but something on her head did.

Reaching up, she found a pair of metallic object attached to each side of her head (hmm, don't want to use that example to show the comparison but oh well, its the only thing i can think up right now. What the metallic object is is the robotic ear you see in most anime such as Negima, and then a bit above it is where her fox ear is. Kinda like Hayate in Hayate no Gotoku when he is wearing cat stuff....the ear position are like that.....well, the ear i'm imagining is smaller than that, and replace the human ear with robot ears, ta-da )

Opening a shield that block out the wave (oh ya, its actually EMP ), images, emotions flashes through her mind. The ear is another piece....Knowledge of Light, with most of its data chip stolen!!!


Due to all her fight with the robots, she is already exhausted beyond belief, and with the EMP the humans activated, it took her out despite the shield she deplyed(fainted, does that make her seems weak? i mean, she fainted in the time stream and to have her fainted again so soon.....) the humans, after they inspected her, decided to bring her back to base.

awaken in an unfamiliar room, for a moment, Yuki didn't remember a thing, then suddenly everything comes back into her mind.

"So you are awake." a female voice said, while opening the metallic door.

A girl about 13 appeared in the doorway holding a tray, on her are old, worn fabrics you can barely call "cloth" (ah...don't know the word, but she looks awfully bad)

"Who are you? and Where am I?"
"I'm Sara, as to where this is, i can't tell you."
"Why?"
"Cause you may be a spy."
"..................." Yuki looks at Sara, about to speak, but seems to think otherwise, turns her face away again, displaying cold indifference.
Sara, thinking she had somehow did something bad, said "please, eat up."

Yuki, after testing the food and find no danger in them, begins eating.

Yuki has just finished eating the meal Sara brought in.

The Door to the room opens and a strange man walks in.

Yuki looks up.

Leader: “Hey it seems like you have finished your meal. You looked like you could use some food.”

Yuki looks at the leader with questioning eyes.

Leader: "Ah, sorry, i'm the leader here."

Yuki: “Ah...well, Thank you.” She looks at the leader cautiously.

Leader: “There is no need to be frightened. We mean you no harm.”

Yuki looks at the leader for a second, and then turns away.

Yuki: “I know.”

The leader looks a bit surprised then looks at Yuki with a serious and curious look on his face

Leader: “What make you think that?”

Yuki: “You don't look the sort that lies, and I wouldn't be here if you do mean harm.” Yuki said with a weak smile.

Leader: “Ah ok, it seems like you are ready to talk. Care to tell me who you are and why you are in the middle of the pile of what appeared to be cut to pieces robots?”

Yuki: “Robots? You mean those metallic things that seem to move on their own?”

Leader: “Yes. You don't know?”

Yuki: “I don't know….wait…..Let me think.”

Yuki looks up at the ceiling, her eyes become cloudy. Words, numbers, images flow in her head. Then she looks back down, her eyes clear again. *Ah, I see, I got out the time stream thousands of years in the future. Looks like I have no choice but to do what he says. He's a human, and humans are mostly filled with lies. But I had met some who are good, and in this kind of world, they are probably more eager to survive than to trick me. And even though my body has almost recovered from the trip in time stream, my power has yet to return to full. I have to recover, and find a way to go back into the past again.*

The leader looks back at Yuki calmly while she thinks. When Yuki turns her gaze back to him, Leader: “It seems you have reached you conclusion.”

Yuki: “Yes, my name is Yuki, and as to the second question, I destroyed them all, but I was mostly knocked out by the energy wave that was emitted at that time.”

Leader: “EMP? Then you are a machine?”

Yuki: “No, I'm not a machine.”

Leader: “Then who are you, why do you have these mechanical ears; doesn't that make you a machine?”

Yuki: “I'm the last clan member of the Spirit Fox, and I just found out that these ears are on me before I pass out.”

Leader: “Spirit Fox? Just found out? I think you know no one is going to believe you.”

Yuki twitched her tail and ear. “I know no one is going to believe I just found out that a pair of ears just attaches to you, but this proofs I'm Spirit Fox, right?”

Leader: “Err…right.”

Yuki: “Then I'm not your enemy.”

The leader holds his head, looking defeated…then he rubs his face.

Leader: “I think I know you are not an enemy, but I pretty much know for sure that many people in the Resistance do not agree with me.”

Yuki: “I know there will always people who don't agree, but you are the leader right? Your decision on this matters the most.”

Leader: “Right. I just hope my people will not think that I got snatched away by a foxy lady….”

The comment sparked something in Yuki's eyes, but it quickly faded. The leader didn't notice it.

Leader: “Then tell me, why and how you came to be here?”

Yuki: “If you can promise me that you will not think that I'm making these up.”
Leader: “I won't promise that, but I will be reasonable, is that good enough?”

Yuki: “(sign) guess I can't ask too much.”

For the next hour or so Yuki tells him a little bit about how her clan was destroyed, how she enters the time stream but is unable to go towards the past, and how she woke up in the ruin and got surrounded. During that time, the leader asked many questions, and Yuki answer them the best she can. (But she leaves out the pieces of Light)

Leader (exhales a long breath): “It's hard to believe, but I think you are telling the truth.”

Yuki: “Thank you.”

Leader: “Ok, I will do something about the people in the Resistance, but I can't guarantee much. Just on one condition.”

Yuki: “What is it? If it's reasonable, then I will do it.”

Leader: “Can you do something about the tails and ear? I think they will make the people around you uncomfortable.”

Yuki looks at the leader for a second, thinks, and then stood up.

Yuki: “Ok.”

Yuki changed her appearance so both her ears and tail disappeared and a human ear appeared where her mechanical ear was.

The leader took a step back with a surprised look on his face.

Leader: “Wow, that's fast.......”

Yuki: “It's just a small camouflage magic.”

Then Yuki changed it back but suddenly feels weak.

Leader, seeing that: “You are still tired......Rest now.”

Yuki nodded to the leader.

Leader: “Then I will take my leave.”

The leader walks out of the room.

Yuki then went and lay down on the bed in the room.

Yuki, whispered: “He seems nice, I wonder if talking was the right thing...But I don't think I have any other choice though....”

As the days go on he lets her out of the room while they talk and eventually lets her take on small jobs to help out the resistance as he finds more and more about Yuki's combat ability.

taken in by the humans, Yuki was not been considered one of the group (going to use the word Resistance for now), and it would be far worse if not for the leader, who accept Yuki as his instinct tell him there is no harm in her.

Unable to take in the atmosphere (been watched from the corner of the eye by everyone in the Resistance), she volunteered to go on a mission as a soldier in a squad. (smaller squads like this which Yuki joined usually take on the task of a scout, which, easily have the highest death rate). the task for her squad is to find out a certain group of elites that was send out sometime (about a week) before. these elites were sent to investigate a post on the front line (hmm, looks like i need to think about a map, and location names....) that lost contact.

During the mission (its some days march to the front line), Yuki, as before, was ostracized by members of the squad. But she feels that its actually easier on her, as she don't really want to be attached emotionally to anyone.

Reaching the post, they were greeted by silence...

(hmm, book two seems harder to write than i expected, really, its harder to write if there are other people added in there......)

during the trip to the post, they suddenly receive an SOS signal from the post, and from the sound, the elite team joined up with the people in the post but are having heavy fighting going on and request immediate reinforcement.

the squad determined that the message can't be false as its using one of the secrete codings the Resistance used. After passing the message back to base, they were instructed to head for the post and give what ever assistance they are able to give, and the base will be sending out more teams.

.............but they did not expect the post to be empty..........

the squad gone into the post to investigate.....but they didn't find anything, not even any sign that there is fighting or struggle in the post.....it looks like its just.........abandoned.....

Yuki, though, since right at the moment of stepping into the posts, have got vibrating reactions from her mechanical ears, and somehow...the vibrations are getting stronger.....

Suddenly, the squad member's ear piece, and the post's speakers blare into life, emitting high pitched electronic sounds. and in moments, the squad members are on the ground screaming, holding their head....

While the other squad members are holding their ears, trying to block out the terrible sound that is cracking their heads. The effect of the sound have far less effect on Yuki, for the sound seems dampened by the Knowledge of Light (which, even though most of the chips are taken, still possess some power, it still have the ability to manipulate the owner's nerve signal as the need arise + it can make the user's head clearer and think better). Yuki, seeing the effect it have on the squad, snap her finger. Every head piece the squad have fly into Yuki's hands, and thin sheets of fabric appeared out of nowhere and surround the squad (temporary image, from Read Or Die TV, one of the episodes when they were battling a revived musician (i think it was Beethoven), the silencer effect they used).

Yuki, sticking her sword into the ground, mumbles: "Teleport"

The whole squad along with Yuki, appeared some distance outside the post. Then Yuki throws a ball of yellowish light into the ground, a glowing magic circle appeared under the squad members.

"Try to contact base about this situation, I'm heading out to find the source of this. This circle is a barrier can block every physical/energy attack from the outside so long as I am alive, and you can shoot out from the inside too." Yuki said to the others while pulling out her sword from the ground.

Having said that, she dashes out of the circle.

"This reaction...this is probably one of the robots that is implanted with one of my chips, if it can make the speaker do that, and possibly the SOS message too, maybe its the one that have the ability of electronic manipulation"

As she runs, the resonating vibration in her ears becomes stronger...
