chapter one

Second year student Kaguya Kiseki. thats what my new student ID says. My last name means "miracle." Cool, right? Anyway, I'm new to Ouran Academy...sort of. I was here for my third year in middle school. I moved and came came back for my second year in high school. i remember middle school...
- I stood under the same archway many other girls stood under before me, waiting for the same person as a lot of them. Well, there are two. They're twins. But I'm waiting for one. There he is. Kaoru. He stopped and leaned against the pillar.
"I got your note. 'Kaoru.' Too bad I'm Hikaru. You must've gotton our desks confused." he said. No, i knew i was right. that's definately Kaoru's voice. He looked me up and down. "Come to think of it, you're not even in our class. But would you be okay with me?" I smiled.
"Of course, silly! Because how can Kaoru be Hikaru?" I said. He looked at me, surprised.
"How do you know?" he asked.
"Its your voice. And your eyes," I said. "You know, if people would just take the time to see, they will find the differences between you two."
"W-w-what?" he stammered. I looked down.
"But, um, I just got a message from my dad a few moments ago. We're...moving," I said. Something like sadness flashed across his face. "I'm sorry," i said an walked away.-

I remember those twins. I've even missed them, even though I never got to know them.
i walked down the hallway until i saw a partially-opened door. i cocked my head to one side.
"Huh?"
I walked over and opened the door.
"Welcome!" said a group of boys. I looked at them. It was all i could do not to gasp. Its them. Koaru and Hikaru.
There was a blonde haired boy with blue eyes, a tall black-spikey-haired boy with a short blonde boy with honey colored eyes, the twins with their red hair and honey eyes, and a short, brown-haired boy that looked kinda like a girl. But the one that really caught my eye was the black-haired boy with dark-brown-almost-purple eyes behind a pair of glasses.
The blonde haired boy bowed with a smooth sweeping motion.
"Welcome to the Ouran Academy Host Club," he said.
"Ouran...Host Club?" I asked.

*Author's note-Ouran Host Club. A club made up of six boys (and a girl pretending to be a boy due to certain...circumstances) with too much free time that entertain girls who also have too much free time. Just thought I'd elaborate for those who may not know!*

"I see you're a new student here. I'm Tamaki Suoh," he said, bowing once more. I waved hesitantly. i felt a tugging at my shirt and looked down.
"You can call me Honey!" said the short blonde boy as he smiled. I smiled back. The tall black-haired boy lifted Honey onto his shoulders.
"Mori," he said. The twins came up out of no-where and put their arms around me. They said their names, but we already know, so there's no point in repeating it, right?
The brown-haired boy offered me a cup of tea.
"I'm Haruhi. I know this all seems strange, but you'll get used to it," he said. I took the cup and took a sip. The black-haired boy with the glasses bowed his head a little.
"I'm Kyouya Otori. It's a pleasure to meet you," he said. Kyouya, then. I'll have to remember that! I smiled.
"My name is Kaguya Kiseki! It's nice to meet you all!" I said. I looked at the twins. Nope. My name didnt ring any bells... "So, um, what is this anyway?" I asked.
"You'll find out soon enough!" Tamaki said.

The room filled with a bunch of girls and tables were set up. Each boy had his own station (the twins were together, of course!). i watched from a distance. from where i was, i noticed a piano. my face lit up. i took lessons back in britian. there was one song i always loved to play. i went over to the piano and sat down on the bench. i couldn't help it. the song "once upon a december" flew from my fingers. suddenly, i was singing the words i knew by heart. i finished and heard clapping. it was then i realized...
"i just played and sang in front of a whole bunch of people!" i squeaked and blushed. tamaki walked up. he smiled.
"do you know any duets?" he asked. i nodded.
"i know a few. i'll start, then you can join in if you know it," i said.
i started playing. he sat down beside me and played along. it was beautiful. everyone was smiling and staring. i blushed, but never once missed a note. tamaki looked so calm and happy. and i was having fun!

Kyouya POV

i watched her play. she was smiling and having so much fun. her blonde hair was a few shades darker than tamaki's. she had two little pigtails in her otherwise-down hair. she had emerald green eyes that were, at that moment, full of joy. someone tugged at my sleeve. i looked down at her.
"who is that girl? is she new here? she plays so beautifully!" she said. i smiled at her.
"her name is kaguya kiseki. and yes, she's new," i said.
the song stopped and they started another.

all of our guests were gone. it was just us. the host club. oh, and kaguya.
"You play well!" tamaki said. Kaguya blushed.
"Thank you," she said softly.
"And you have a lovely voice!" Haruhi said. That made kaguya blush even more.
"Thanks," she said. Not used to complements, i observed.
"Not bad, not bad!" the twins said.
"Kiki-chan!" Honey said and hugged her. "i didn't know you could play the piano!" Mori pulled him up onto his shoulders.
"You dont know a lot of things about her. you just met her," he said in his ever-calm voice.
"Um...well, now you know!" she said, trying for a cheerful voice, but failing and still sounding shy.
"Kiki-chan, what's your favorite color?" Honey asked.
"Um, blue. Why?" she asked.
"Now i know more about you!" he said.
"Here, this will help calm your nerves," Haruhi said. she handed kaguya a cup of tea.
Oh yeah. In case you didnt know, Haruhi is a girl. She was forced to join the host club due to a debt. Debt=broken vase. That debt was paid off long ago, but she likes to spen time with us. Us=Tamaki. Anyways, she stayed and still pretends to be a boy. Tamaki looked at me.
"Kyouya! Didn't you think it was nice?" he asked. I pushed my glasses up.
"It was very lovely, Kaguya," I said, bowing slightly. That, above all else, made her blush the hardest.
"Um, th-th-th-thank you!" she stammered. She smiled a shakey smile. Shakey smile=nervous. I smiled at her.
