As for the recommendation : try : bleach - still ongoing samurai 7 black cat black blood brothers crest of the stars (and banner of the stars,thats the sequel) these have the same genre as the ones u already listed ... enjoy

Rep Power: 8 | why bleach????its not a good combination....i mean bleach with a nice anime like basilisk.anyways basilisks rating is mature and bleach's is teenagers.and i believe you said "nothing overtly sexual, (occasional nude scenes are ok) and no random killing animes" my advise still 1full metal alchemist 2yu yu hakusho 3hunterxhunter 4naruto all of them are original.if you like action then you will like them.though i cant tell you that these are better than ruroni kenshin coz ruroni kenshin is one of the legendary anime ever.but still these will make you happy.especially hunterxhunter.but it has more bloody violence than the rest i hav mensioned.^_^ |

Rep Power: 87  | I love Yu Yu Hakusho. i have the whole series and I'm now reading the manga because i just cant get enough of it.Lots of action great story and the dub for the mid 90's isn't that bad concidering how bad many were back then. Its very simular to Fist of the North Star. Wich comes to my other recomendation. Technicaly this isn't the first fighting type anime but its the first secessfull one. There are a few simularites to Fist of the North Star and Kenshin as well as Yu Yu Hakusho. Also a good series to seek out if your into FOTNS is JOJO's Bizare adventure. thats if you can find it.

Rep Power: 8 | yup i agree with you jsc315.yu yu hakusho is original action anime with nice dubbing.i even like the english version of the op and ed songs than the jap version.the english voice acting is good and funny.by the way did you download fist of the north star from animea?coz its size is 230mg.(which nearly gave me an hart attack ^_^)well i wanna watch the anime too but dont know from where can i dl it. and by the way hunterxhunter is action adventure.and is directed by the same guy same as rurouni kenshin. |

Rep Power: 87 | Well watching it in any lower quality out there just looks bad and its just bad VHS copies. Its that or get the DVD's if you can find them. Also considering it a long series its about the only way to go. wish i could help more. http://heartofmadness.com/index.php?action=news Here are the guys that actually fansub the anime. They have both a direct downloads and torrents so choose what ever you want. 233mb is about the average of the episodes but it does look good. Also I want to thank you for telling me about HunterxHunter. i had no idea that it was the same director. I will eventualy check it out when i have the time to do so.

Rep Power: 8 | no prob.and not only the series director also the art director(Nobuto Sakamoto) of both rurouni kenshin and hxh is same.whos also the art director of fist of the north star 2(tv) and slam dunk.cool isnt it?^_^ thats why i wanna watch fist of the north star. |

Rep Power: 9 | If you like sword fights and SPB anime I suggest: Bleach Samurai Champloo (baseball episode rox) Zombie Loan X:1999 (one of the best imo) clamp should make more of these Tengo Tenge Law of Ueki (51 episodes, a bit long but worth it) Yu Yu Hakusho (since you like characters who seem to level up in the anime like how gokou transforms SSJ, SSJ2 and stuff, you will love this, completed too) have fun. |
