Hi,

I just recently discovered how wonderfull anime truely is. I learned a lot about it through Saikano and I was wondering if anyone knows something like that.
I'll discribe it the best I can what I'm exactly looking for since not everyone knows Saikano I guess:

A romantic anime that is not supposed to be funny. I like sad stories, you see. Love and depression. Ofcourse a few laughs never hurt, but not too much jokes.
The people in the series just can't be ugly or just stupid.
I like emo, so the series.... you know... could be very emo-ish.
I have no problem with blood, nudity or foul language, but too much gets old very fast, that's why I'm not that much into Gore Horror.
Broken hearts and all are an extra bonus = )
I hope somebody knows something coming close to what I just discribed.

I think that these are close to what you were looking for, so I hope you enjoy them.

Nice selection Neuvil its hard to think of many others especially since you mentioned 1 of my all time faves NANA

one that might fit is

Sola
Elfen Lied ( alltho there might a bit of blood it is a great story )
