Looking for older animes

Well when I say older I don't mean as in appropriate age kind of older. What I mean is stuff from the 80s. I guy that I work with told me a little bit about Starblazers and it sounds familiar but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I am also looking for any recommendations for scifi and action adventure type animes. I have watched a lot of different kinds and am not to picky on the type. If there is anything that you are watching that is really good in your opinion then by all means list it here and I will try to check it out and thanks in advance for any help.

Try out Revolutionary Girl Utena, Ronin Warriors, and Evangelion. They're pretty old

Old? How about Voltes V? lol... I've watched this anime when I was just a little kid. For sci-fi, check out Ghost in the Shell. Action/Adventure, check out Rurouni Kenshin.

thanks for the ideas, I have already seen Ronin Warriors, Ghost In The Shell, Rurouni Kenshin. I did enjoy all of those as for the others I will give them a try. Keep the suggestions coming I am always up for something new.

try the first gundams...they're great...slam dunk,outlaw star and evangelion(its 90's but its still worth watching)

Id have to agree on Yu Yu Hakusho its really good Ranma is really funny too hmm what other old animes that might fit to ur liking ermmm Flame of Recca is good too
