Akira Live action

Anyone else hear about this being made. Leonardo Decaprio is supposed to star in it and i think produce it as well. I re-watched the movie the other day. And i have no idea how they can make the last few scenes translate into a live action scene without making everyone in the theater either throw up or walk out.

I also heard it was being made, but I haven't heard any other info.
As for the last scenes. I really doubt that would make people want to throw up. Even in comedy movies there are scenes that involve similar actions...

Hmmm...I doubt this will be any good.

Someone like Shinya Tsukamoto (for 'Tetsuo' film fame) could of pull this up but Americans and with DeCaprio..urgh.

Akira should of be left as is, my 2 cents.

The live action akira adaption is gonna be either 2 or 3 movies long each movie is foucusing on certain books from the manga.
