| Genuine Failure ![]() | LIVE ACTIONS DISAPPOINT ME, they ALMOST ALWAYS SEEM TO FAIL TO CAPTURE what the anime character, mood, setting is like . . and in case of fighting scenes . . . there's not much realistic elements in it.

anyways, mostly i find anything other than shoujo/comedies live actions usually aren't so great... like jigoku shoujo >.>... but shoujos are usually great! (only the dramas of them though, movies aren't that awesome, too short + too much information)

| Kawaii Ecchi ![]() | I'm waiting to see if Honey and Clover live action tv series will live up to the anime ... I saw the movie version a while back and did not like it at all ... gimme the anime version anytime ... but some live action tv series (those without anime versions) are quite good ...

| Unknown | i agree with alex. live action do kills my appetite. eg. like school rumble and jigoku shoujo, how come school girls and enma ai being replaced by OLD GIRLS. aren't japanese teen not talented enough to play the charactes. ...and there were others that the actor's like never know what talent means. the only live action that i can barely watch is power office girl (shomuni). despite of the overly success of anime industries, japanese dorama had a loooooooong way to go.. |

Source: - bigpedia - wikipedia but i also agree with what most people think here. that what the first poster means was live action movies adapted from anime. Like DBZ, DeathNote, Nodame Cantabile, and any other anime adaptation movies/series. i'll add Saikano. awesome, but contains adult scene XD and a bit altered from the anime. Another one is Cutie Honey/Cutey Honey. I won't give you info about this one, because i haven't (read:not interested) to watch this live action XD Gokusen is like GTO in opposite sex. And personally, i like Gokusen live action more than GTO live action. on a side note, before the stephen chow's hollywood's adaptation version of Dragonball, there was earlier adaptation made by hongkong in 1989 entitled Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins. But the hongkong version was more to comedy than action. But my favorite live action movies adapted from anime are: Devilman and Casshern Those two (devilman and casshern) are amazingly made by current technology. The story is not shallow too (though i was a bit disappointed with devilman's ending XD ), but casshern was like sugooooi ![]() i highly recommend casshern, it's not like the other regular anime adaptation-life action movies ;) ...if only japanese can make more live action adaptation like those.. ![]()
