i was just wandering what OVA stands for and does it relate just to certain types of anime... thanks for the help

Orignal Video Animation

Normaly means its a one of episode which is not quite a movie but some ova's have more than one episode making them more of series yet not quite long enough to be considered a series so people just refer to it as an ova or short series.

episodes/movies that are being released directly to physical media (DVD and whatnot) without having been broadcasted in TV or shown in cinemas before

i do believe that i do understand the meaning of ova.. i see it around alot and i was just wandering and didnt know.. thanks
