Appearance changed after Bankai.

I'm wondering why some of the captains who released their Bankai afterward didn't change their clothes like ichigo and Renji? They should've made Byakuya change into something Badass when he performed Bankai. I would like to see something different other than regular Shinigami's clothes all the time.

Well its mostly about the change in their sword. Byakuya's shikai and bankai are very alike really. While Ichigo and Renji's swords change dramatically. And make them look more like their spirtis. With Ichigo's new jacket looking alot like Zangetsu's and Renji looking more barbaric. Though that's only a theory, maybe the author wanted them to look different.

i think it looks way better when they change appearence aswell. ichigo just with his think sword would be so boring.
imagine what byakuya would wear though....

Maybe it all depends on a Shinigami's characteristics and style of Zanpakutou.

There is a possibility of it. Until now,none of them have appearance change,only as said Renji & Ichigo have appearance change. Perhaps the author are too lazy to draw? xD Well,since drawing everyone's Zanpakutou change on shikai and bankai not easy(just my thought) and now the Espada Released form. So to draw the other captains and vice captains would take a lot of time and inspiration

I can't imagine byakuya's cherry blossoms clothes but if it is a cherry blossoms skirt..i cannot stop laughing xD
