Now I'd like to see Unohana's bankai. But I do wonder what they're all going to do when Aizen busts out his own hollow mask and yells, "Bankai!"

The numbers don’t quite work when you consider that Kenpachi easily fights of Kaname Tosen & Sajin Komamura simultaneously And that Gin fights against Hitsugaya without even releasing his soul slayer while Hitsugaya is in banki. I guess you cannot really measure people up in numbers =P

Well when Gin fights Hitsugaya he is only in Shikai not Bankai. At the end Gin also had to release his shikai in order to escape. Also if you look Kenpachi's strength and stamina are all the way up, but he is lacking in everything else. So while he does have great fighting power and an incredible tolerance for pain. As an overall shinigami he is weak.

first he isnt,monz just said one post above u he is one of the weakest captains and this isnt a thread for shouting "yay this is my most beloved captain" or "hitsugaya rocks!!!!!!!". pls dont do that again.

now back on topic: tousen and gin should probably be stronger than what we have just seen. there is no other way that aizen would consider them as his team partners. also, i think i saw somebody says, "what will they do when aizen will put his mask on and yell bankai". so first, im not sure if he even can put a mask, he wouldnt do all those researchs, and stuff like going into hueco mundo if he could do that, also, just look how aizen beated komamura with only 1 kidou/hadou w/e it was. or how he made grimmjow fall on his knees with just releasing some of his riatsu, if he really could put a mask he would been unbeatable. just with shikai he could "win" against all gotei 13... jsut by using its power, he could get what he needs and escape. his powers r already beyond possible. and he havnt used his bankai yet. which means having mask will make him invincible.

Nice stats. They do seem about right to me.

^ Above, Gin and Tousen are not with him because of their power but more so because of their beliefs and in Gins case also some loyalty.

could be a posibility, for ukitake yes, but im preety sure Aizen wouldnt NEED weaklings, if u read the manga u should know

there wasn´t much of a fight between tousen and kensei. that´s what backstabbing is all about, that there is no real fight.
and, aizen more or less raised gin to be the man he is now, he took him in as a prodigy and his protegé. tousen kaname was very much the only blind shinigami, so he had to pull him to his side. tousen´s calm demeanor makes him an excellent subordinate for anybody. no denying their powers, they wouldn´t have been captains if they were not extremely powerful, but don´t count out their allegiance to aizen when wondering about why he allows them to stay by his side.

btw...kenpachi´s brute strenght is without question, tb, there´s a good reason why he´s called kenpachi, but what else does he have...

Ukitake is sick he is not a weakling. You will see soon enough just how much ass he will kick.

i agree. he has one of only two known paired zanpakutou, after all (count out whatever zanpakutou amagai shuusuke might have, he´s not part of the regular canon). and he´s been personally taught by yama-jii and is considered as an outstanding prodigy. definitely not weak.
