My theory is - Byakuya already defeated Senbonzakura. This is all just an act. He purposely left Senbonzakura in his materialized state, so he can get closer to Muramasa and everyone's zanpakutos...

That certainly sounds feasible, but...

It's hard to believe that he killed Sode no Shirayuki, Rukia's Zanpakuto just to get "in" with Muramasa and the other Zanpakutos?

The current belief is that a Zanpakuto dies if it is killed by someone other than its owner. I guess that stems from the fact that Mayuri Kurotsuchi killed Ōmaeda's Zanpakuto Gegetsuburi and he died. I think this belief will turn out not to be true. I think there will be another way to rescue the killed Zanpakuto. I don't think Byakura would kill Rukia's Zanpakuto under any other circumstances.

there must be another way... after all it's just a filler arc.. everything have to return to normal when they follow the manga again ^^

Exactly.....
There you go, JB. Genbatzu gave you the answer.
After this, everything has to go back to normal. So there will be a way both Omaeda and Rukia will get their Zanpakutous back..

Remember what Byakuya said while he fought the Espada? Rukia Kuchiki is his pride... That's what he wants to protect.
There's probably some scheme with Sode no Shirayuki. There has to be.


In these kinds of situations, Manga writers usually tend to make the most unexpected twist, the one readers LEAST expect. When something was happening in Soul Society, the one who was behind EVERYTHING was who? The nicest, kindest person of all, and on top of that, person everyone believed was victim (everyone thought was dead) - Souske Aizen.
Here, it's the same thing.

Who do we expect to be the least suspicious? I don't know about you guys, for me - it's Senbonzakura. Why? Because among all Zanpakutous, he was the one who was the most against the idea of letting Byakuya join them. And even after it, he started threatning Byakuya, like "I'm keeping an eye on you", "I'll watch you from the shadows", etc...

When they turn against Byakuya and when Byakuya is about to die, I think Senbonzakura will turn against Muramasa and that will be the "unexpected twist"...

Of course, this is just a theory.. I might be wrong. There are hundreds of possibilities. I am just telling everybody on what I base my assumptions on...

A big clash is comeing out thats for sure and there we will see whats Byakura`s plan . Alos i realy wanna see whats the deal with Muramasa and how`s zampaktou he is ..

This episode was an average one...Not bad, but compared to the other eps we have seen in this Arc it was nothing to boast about. Last weeks episode was fantastic...The fight between Renji and Byakuya and Senbon and Zabimaru was EPIC...One of the best fight is have seen in a long while...Anyway, Byakuya has something planned...What is the question and what is the deal with Muramasa? Why does he need to eat hollows? Interesting...Very interesting...

ahh a good new episode i must say , and new OP n ED (thou is it just me or is the OP song way different than from the usual ones they put D:)
there are many fights in it, and we can learn more about the fighting styles of each character
man i wouldn't wanna be in soi fon shoes , that is one chibi target to hit xD, n it looks annoying , she sure got surprised when seeing how her zanpakutou looks xD
and Kira's really hits it , loll it sure suits him ( it kinda looks like it crawled out of a horror movie D:)
