Well in my opinion Goku would beat superman's butt back to [insert home planet here] because he can turn up to SSJ4, besides he can throw waves and stuff while superman only has his lame eye lasers!.

Ultimately if all else fails Goku can just go get some kryptonite (sp?) and Game Over Superman!:P

My vote goes for Goku ^^!.

A few of my friends in the past have tried to argue a good case for superman but in my opinion Goku is stronger, faster, has a wider range of attacks at his disposal and doesn't have a major weakness like kryptonite.

Goku is a natural born fighter alien, who has been training since like 10, who also fought people that could destroy planets by giving a finger.
Superman is an alien who lived on a farm with his favorite activity being journalism, and he didn't even realise his super powers till his late teenage years, then fights mostly his own kind or humans.

Now, I don't care if Kryptonians are genetically superior to Saiyans, anyone who writes for a psychotic newspaper editor and lived on a farm can get beaten by anyone who actually trains himself since childhood.

Edit: and there is that weakness that Kryptonians have that even a human named Luthor could take advantage.
Imagine if someone at least half the superman's maximum flying speed (Goku is significantly slower though in my last count, but incredibly faster compared to a human) could exploit that. Instant Knock Out.

hmm, you are referring to to Goku transforming into an Oozaru, right?
if so, probably, considering rational intelligence might drain.
I haven't seen enough earlier episodes to make judgment on that one.

Nope! at the beginning of dbz if someone grabbed Goku's tail he'd be in a lot of pain, i'm referring to that, i think that's a weakness that can compare to kryptonite! :P
