Why did Dragon Ball GT suck? - Page 3

well i think it wasnt as good as the other series cause the thing with the many different planets just messed it up, it was so...overimaginary...

I liked Dragon Ball GT in the beginning, mainly because it was going back to the whole "Dragon Ball" dynamic. An adventure to search for the Dragon Balls with obstacles, but, it became too much like Dragon Ball Z later on (come on, was SSJ4 Goku really necessary?), which turned me off from the series a lot. It became all about "power" as opposed to "skill", imo. I will admit to liking the last half of the final episode of the entire series. It was nice; Goku and Vegeta's descendants going against each other at a Martial Arts tournament while Videl (I think), Bulma, and Chichi were watching, while a "dead Goku" is watching as well. It was nice because it flashed back to how Goku's adventure first began all the way up to DBGT, while playing the full version of Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku. It made me incredibly nostalgic, and also made me want to watch Dragon Ball all over again, but never mind all that. lol

I think is because of the stuipids fights, DBZ fights are the best.
But GT's are stupid, they try to make every fight funny...
They try to make it more for children than for real fans.

first of all, it didn't suck. people just say that because they are comparing it to the predecessors. i'll admit that the GT was not as good as DB or Z but it was still amazing. have u heard the japanese intro. its beautiful. america turned into a rap thing but it was cool nonetheless. the reason why it wasnt as good because the power levels were way off. like theres this one villian named general rildo who goku almost dies to but escapes narrowly but when they meet again after like only minutes, he destroys him with a kamehameha. WTF?. what are u guys talking bout, SSJ 4 was so cool and i liked his new style as opposed to the old yellow hair. its a new and welcomed twist. Gogeta in that form was the strongest character ever and his look and attitude deserved it. it was beastly, literally lol. also, it was rushed but overall, baby, super 17 (which was also way too short for its own saga), and the dragons were a good choice for new villians. the last episode was spectacular. it is truly impossible to not cry. it is just so beautiful and sad to see this amazing anime go away. anyway it was really good. sorry nostalgia got the best of me.

As I pointed out, DBGT had potential. The beginning of the series was good, imo. It was very Dragon Ball-ish, but, it became like DBZ and all the flaws associated with it. Dragon Ball focused more on fighting skills than power. DBZ focused a lot on power. DBGT fell into this formula, which is what hurt it, imo. The story and all that was okay for GT, but the fact that power trumps skill kind of bugged me.

DBGT was for me very good

Ask Why?? It had a lot of action:D:D(Action fan) but still DB and DBZ were way better bcoz of there story

well Dragon Ball Gt wasnt really done by the guy behind DB or DBZ it was based upon it and thats why it didnt really work for me
