Reflections

Having recently finished the first installment in this series, and eagerly awaiting the next season, I'm now given time to reflect on the first series. Personally, I have some problems with how Lelouch suddenly looses control of his Geass while conversing with Euphemia, but never had any warm up to this (sure C.C. told him that it would become more powerful, but having it suddenly turn on permanently is a bit shocking). Also, was there any explanation why "orange" became a test subject for the military, let alone his ridiculous machine he was piloting?

Now don't get me wrong, I really like this series, and will watch R2 to get more of it. Its just some things aren't sitting well with me (it may be because I watched the whole series in one night...).

Oh and another thing, when watching the series, it almost feels like Lelouch is a dark-haired version of Light from Death Note. Did anyone else feel this?

The permanent power was inevitable. Mao, or whatever his name was, had lost his ability to control his power as well, that was my first realization that Lelouch would eventually lose his, I just didnt really expect it to be so soon.

Im not sure, but I think the 'orange' thing was just to cast doubt on him, there might have been some real thing, but im unaware of it

I also did feel that LeLouche is Kira on Mecha.

From what I know, the Orange thing was said by LeLouche just as a bluff, and Jeremiah Gottwald has been dead to Britannia, since the fight of Narita. and Prince Schneizel and his scientist group made him that way, with no memorable reason for me either.

i didnt watch death note til after i had already seen code geass, and i had never thought about them being similar, but now that i think about it, yeah they do seem kinda similar, lets just hope that lelouch doesnt end up like light did

but Lelocuh is more sane than Kira

I don't know, with his sudden fits of laughter, I think that Lelouch will soon be on equal terms with Kira

perhaps especially in the near end of the first season... but I do think he is cooler than Kira =p I hate kira lol

The thing is Kira alone doesn't have any friends (Except Misa maybe). He just uses Light's friend.
Zero on the other hand, gets a lot of friends (Technically, more like henchmen, but still), and LeLouche a different set of friends.

So, Zero has friends, Kira doesn't. That little difference makes Zero a bit more cooler. For me, anyway.

Im not a Kira fan its not that I hate him its just he is annoying
and Zero if u look at it does not want anyone of his henchemen aka friends lol killed thats why he plans attacks ahead etc

doesnt change the fact he is similar to Light
he kills and he murders
but at least the setting is on a very hostile situation war against an oprresive nation
