Yes and they really portrayed the emotions well. Not to mention there are practically no loose ends, thus a season 2 would require a whole new story-line and characters

Yes at least with the manga. The anime would do nicely if they just picked it up from where it left off. I've heard rumors about a 2nd series, but I'll have to find some links to back that up, so don't quote me on it =D

Not to mention the conclusion to Momiji's sad story line. And of course a truely interesting but happy ending which the manga did quite well... it was a tear jerker for me

I actually bought the manga and it's 23 volumes in total. (The English translation is up to vol. 19, I think. French vol. 23 is due to appear either now or November.)
