Dunno if it's gonna be this April, but hasn't there been recent magazine scans regarding the second season?

Then again, rumors of a second season's been online since... the first one ended, so it's probably the company trolling its fans, just as they've been doing for the past two-or-so years. I remember the wtf-inducing youtube video during the time Kyo-Ani disclosed they'll be showing Suzumiya Haruhi episodes in youtube. :p

what is the point of reairing haruhi if they haven't even started the 2nd season yet, while this is really upsetting, i cant say i'd have a problem if they did another kanokon or if they continued FMP even tho they already have that other anime airing in april

It's not really a 2nd season, but an alternate re-run is in one of the new Spring 2009 Anime line-up. It is scheduled to be 28 episodes long, as told on ANN.

Air Date: April 2, 2009 | Thursday 25:00

Also, check this video introducing the Spring 2009 anime. Haruhi is on 3:56 - 4:08. (if you can read Japanese) I don't see a reason as to why they have Star Wars there o.o

I heard this from a friend so make of it what you will.

The second season will air the Twenty-first of May, in the year 2009. The first spisode was supposed to air in the first season but they didnt air it.

YAYZ...New episode is out. It was supposed to be Episode 8 but they didnt put it in so now all episodes 8 and above are now episodes 9 and above.
