Yes. If it isn't good why would it be up to three seasons (two seasons + 1 season coming).

Our story takes place in Hinamizawa Village. It is a small village with a population of less than 2,000, a place cursed by Oyashiro-Sama
Hinamizawa Village Consecutive Unnatural Murders (1979 ~ 1983).
Every year, during the festival of Watanagashi, one person dies and another disappears. It is a cycle of death which started with a fight over the construction plans for a dam. That incident was covered up by the police and has now come back to haunt the village.
Is all this due to a plot or a coincidence... or a curse?
Is this tragedy inevitable? Is there nothing you can do but accept it?"

Definitely one of must-watch animes, even for those, who don't like bloody, psycho, weird series ;)

Although I liked 1st season more than 2nd one, since some of the explanations in 2nd were just too... hmm... cheap and obvious? I don't know =/ But I just felt annoyed from the 13th episode =/

And about 3rd season - isn't this supposed to be only an ova?

yea, it's gonna be an OVA, I wasn't sure about the 3rd disk, but I hear it's a fan disk only containing 2 chapters. I hear it's gonna be starting its production in winter.

Finally, someone else who agrees the first season was better. I thought I was alone. The reason I didn't like the second season nearly as much was because it explained some things that I preferred not knowing. Also, did no one in Hinamizawa notice that Hanyu had horns?
