I haven't been to Japan ... yet ... its one of my dreams to travel there at least during my lifetime ...

maybe its because of my love for anime that interests me about Japan and its culture ...

one of the things I like about Japan (aside from its anime, of course) is the food ... although I'm not sure if I've tasted real authentic Japanese food (how would I know?)

I've mentioned it in various posts, I like takuyaki, sukiyaki and recently, I love the Japanese burgers sold near my office ...

please talk about anything Japanese in this thread ... food, culture, jpop, anime (of course), manga or just abotu anything relating to Japan (even your Japanese relatives if you like ^_^)

Agree on everything,especially the food :) i eat once a week at a japanese restaraunt here,a bit pricey ,but the food is UMAI! ...
Yeah wish i go there for a month,and visit the island and stuff ... maybe one day i will ^^

My cousin's been to Japan and he says that theres plenty of technological things there that aren't available here in australia as well as plenty of places to sightsee being cultural in japan as well. True, there were also a lot of animes and manga novels there on sale as well as plenty of toys and models from a variety of diferent animes.

The food in japan is apparently good from what I heard, from foods such as sushi (obviously) to traditional soups, bentos and ramen.

Well I'd like to go to Japan for a holiday one day if possible seeing as its a good tourist destination for a holiday

I wanna see the cherry blossoms ... which months do they turn pink/white? ... I thought there was a holiday in Japan to celebrate them, right?

Yeah your correct its called 花見 hanami - Its starts around march time, depending on where you are in Japan the cherry blossoms open up at different times. This year i went to hanami in shukugawa and it was sooo beautiful. But its a great excuse to meet friends and get really really drunk haha. Anyways heres a picture i took.

I like the weapons that they made
mainly because I'm a medival nut so I love reading about samurai
almost as musch as knights and european tribes
I really like the naginata but I heard it's exclusively a womans sport now

we have a few of those revolving style resteraunts here
it's pretty interesting you just sit there and take what ever you think looks nice as it passes you
it's the price s quite reasonable too
it's nice for a change of pace
