Big earthquake in Aomori japan this moring at 12:30am, 35 people dead :/
Level 6 i believe. The counts keep rising.

I'm sorry for those who perrish or were injured ... I hope your family's ok Ryu ... I thought Japan is in the Earthquake zone so this happens often doesn't it? ... Intensity 6 is kinda high, isnt it? will be on the look out for internet news on this ...

Turns out it was kinda lucky, most people were sleeping when it happend so there were inside and relativly safe. Also even though it was very powerful it happend very deep so it could have been allot worse. Luckly lesson have been learnt from the great hanshin earthquake and places are allot more earthquake proof now.

Yeah but the japanese have there own rating scale of quakes, i think its a level difference, so 6 in japan is 5 in the west. That could be completely wrong but yeah im not sure what it was in the western scale!

Haha i feel like an ant everyday in osaka

I experienced a 1.5 it was an aftershock from an earthquake in asia
didnt seem like much but it did crack buildings
I'd hate to see what a full on quake is capable of

Yeah tell me about, im lucky since ive been here ive only been in one very very small quake. But im sat right on a fault line which could pop at any second. And then theres tokyo which pretty much has weekly quakes and is due for a big one. Crazy stuff :/

I'm currently looking for night classes in Japanese
I'll have my degrees in Chemistry and Biology next year and Iw ant to travel
If I can speak some Japanese I'll be eligable to work as a teachers assistant in the JET program
