I'm not sure where this idea started ... I know it was mentioned in the Ophra Winfrey show previously ... and I read it last month in Reader's Digest, been meaning to start this with my own personal notebook, but I thought I might as well share with you guys ...

The idea behind the Gratitude Journal is to give thanks to people, objects or just plain stuff that you are grateful for so that you won't take them for granted and it spins a positive outlook even though things are not going your way ... I was instructed to write down at least one thing that I'm thankful for everyday ...


For today my entry:

I am grateful for my mom ... even though we don't see eye to eye in a lot of ways, even though I don't like her telling me to do stuff that I don't like or send me on errands that I think is useless ... I'm still thankful for her ... thank you for cooking meals for us, thank you for taking care of me when I was sick, thank you for having me as your daughter ...

I did not have much money on mother's day so I wasn't able to get you anything nice (I'll make up for it next year hehehehehehe) ... I'm glad I'm not like other kids who grew up without a mother, I'l glad I'm not like other kids whose mother maltreats them or just abandon them ... I'm glad to know you're there for me to turn to for help when I really need it ...

so for today ... thank you for my mom ...

just when I'm about to turn into a cold-hearted little lady, I think about these blessings I have in my life...

I'm thankful for my friends... I don't know where I am right now if it weren't for their support, love and patience.

I'm thankful for my family, and my parents.. who tried to be supportive in their own little way although... uhm.. well..

I'm thankful that I was able to get past all the huge obstacles.. I think it made me stronger..

I'm thankful for anime.. because I love anime!!

I'm thankful for my celphone.. because I'm thankful for it..

ahhhh today I'm thankful that I still have internet connection even though sometimes I wanna tear out my hair because its soooooo slow and makes chatting in animea lag ...
