Lol… Cant believe someone is writing about the technique to choose a game? I just choose what ever I want, play it then see if I like it or not, and that is pretty much what I do. Why make so complex... Quote:
How do you choose games? Feelings, advise by friend or use those two method :D | |

I think that the GAMEPLAY and STORYLINE are the most important aspects to a game in that order. Traditionally a game is something fun and running around ruins with hideosly sticky control (Tomb Raider) isn't fun, it's just #$&%*%$ annoying. Then there's SOUNDTRACK, important to really immerse you. Next I'd say REPLAYABILITY. I'd put GRAPHICS right at the bottom of the list I'm afraid. I mean a crappy game with good graphics is like wrapping some dogdoo in a really elegant box with beautiful bows and ribbons. You take a game like Final Fantasy VII. To me it's the greatest RPG that ever existed (Followed closely by IV). The graphics are bad, and the characters poorly rendered by today's standards. Yet I know many who still play the game. Why? Simple: Gameplay's excellent and the storyline's brilliant, all with the backdrop of an amazing soundtrack. Same with Metal Gear Solid. So get a demo or download a review but try and get a review that's not full of nothing but adoration. You need to hear the weak points as well. That's why demos are generally better than reviews, coz then you can judge. Ah, I'm rambling... Well use it, don't use it... |
