What is A hero?

lolx..wonder if anyone made a similar thread lolx.. what do you think is a real hero lolx?
i know it's not a man flying around with a red cape and wearing a red underwear on the outside lolx~ i think a hero is someone who is willing to risk himself saving other's butt lolx..firemen are heroes, in a way

i think a hero is someone who is willing to sacrifice for others sake... someone who thinks of others more than himself....

..yeah i think if you put it that way firemen are heroes too!!:)

An Hero is also used by 4channers to describe someone who talks about suicide or who have performed suicide...Pretty much a 4chan meme on the Internet.

lol, becoming a hero doesn't mean suicide. It's about risking his/her life for the sake of others. It also doesn't mean to die, there are heroes who are alive. Soldiers are heroes of my country. My parents are also my heroes.

I was about to disagree agree with you, but I can understand it in a way.

A hero to me can be anyone. I mean it's kind of true they are just words. You can make anyone sound like a hero when they aren't even one-at least the definitions you people explained to be- without lying....

The reason I made my comment is because even the people seen as "Hero's" have most likely done something disreputable at one point or another, and they are not any different than many others. To me it is more remarkable to do something great and have no one take notice. the people considered hero's in todays society seem more like attention starved puppets

heroes seek attention lolx? the heck they do ! but not certain ppl, but it's kinda hard to save someone and bail after that, unless you have certain skill to do so, lolx..most heroes or so called inevitable got attention not what they expect all along but tend to get their ego from it lolx..

I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
