Is there no one else out there who pays attention to hockey.........>_> I have to vent a little. Right now the Wild are on a little cold streak. The 3rd period has been killing them. >_> Normally they are really good at keeping leads........I think they may need to get some defensive help. They are not the deepest team on the Blue Line. Either than or their top guys need to start getting more minuets. None of their guys play that many minuets that they should be exhausted. And if they are tierd that just means their conditioning is not as good as it should be. Either way they need to play a 3 period game, not a 2 or 2 1/2 period game. If they don't buck up they may find themselves out of the playoff race. >_>

My Wild have been ok latly, but have not been able to put games away late. >_> That really concerns me with the playoffs coming. They just need to bear down and play some tougher D. They are prone to giving up some soft goals.

The Sharks have been on a tear latly. If they keep this up they may end up with the top seed in their conference. With their mix of size and speed, along with a rock solid goaltender, they are a team poised to make a run.

The Devils are also playing some good hockey. It is hard not to be good with Martain Brouduer on your team though. There is not a more clutch goalie out there, not to mention playoff tested. They are a little young up front though and that may hurt them in the later rounds.

There are a lot of divisional teams playing each other in the first round so I expect a lot of intensity. Especially given their familiarity with each other. As it stands right now my picks to make it to the finals are the Sharks and the Panguins. I want to pick the Wild, but the Sharks are just too strong right now. Especially since they are on a tear right now. They are very deep up front with big and skilled forwards with a solid D core and a goalie who is having a career year. They are my pick to win it all. But thses are the playoffs, anything can happen. Its time to sit back and enjoy some awsome hockey. :)

Im a Pittsburgh fan. In FB Hcky & BB. Ive been embarased about BB since the late 70's, Hcky, has been up and down(This year has Some hope, with Sid the Kid and all) But FB has been a bright spot in my life. Oh, BTW, NHL Center Ice on DTV kicks @$$!!

I used to follow hockey, until the lockout, after that I lost interest. But I did used to like the Leafs, only because it was fun when the Red Wings and Leafs played because me and my father would have hockey fights in the living room. We've broken quite a few wall-hung plates, a mirror and my moms glasses throughout the years :D. Anyways, now the only games I watch are Red Wings games and also only with my father. And from what I can tell, RED WINGS WILL EAT EVERYONE ELSE!

CAaaaaaalgary!!! I was crying when they lost. We really need some more offence on our part. And the pens wont be that great since they have to give up some all stars because of the salary cap. Their team was based on them winning the cup this year so the players would take salary cuts.

That might be giving up a bit much. You don't see star players going for those rates anymore. I forget how old Lombardi is, but giving up a top draft pick and a proven NHL player like him would be a lot. I actually hope Hossa ends up staying with the Pens. I want to see what they can do with a full year together.

Lombardi is 20 something. You cant forget that hes one of the fastest skaters out there. And our pic wont really matter (since were 17th) even though this is the deepest draft since 2004 (the year of the sidney Crosby). In any circomstances (is that how you spell it?) the pens have to give up someone, and it wouldn't be fun for you guys if you had to give up Hossa seeing how many things you had to give up for him. This is really funny for me since i was born in calgary, but we moved to Ottawa. Ottawa has a: new coach, and have the Emery situation on their hands. And what do you think of Toronto? Do you think that theill move Sundin for younger players? And do you think that itll matter if they have Ron Wilson, do you think that hell have an impact?

Its nice to have a guy out there who knows what the hell hockey is!!

I think Ottowa will be inconsistant again next year. They will have their hot and cold streatches. Toronto will be the same. The right move would be to move Sundin for younger players, Defense in particular. Toronta has given up a lot of goals the past few years. As far as their new coach goes, I believe the effect will be minimal. It depends more on they players they are able to aquire.
