I agree with everything but the tornto trade. They should buff up their offence. They already have two decent defencemen: Kaberle and McCabe (except for the part where he scored on his own net. Other way Brian!!) And Ottawa does need a better coach. They already have good players, they just need a good coach to steer them in the right way. I think they shouldve went after Torterella. He might be a pain in the @$$, but he gets the job done

If you are just talking about next year ya trading him would be bad. But I really don't think that they will be a big contender next year. By the time they are again he will be too old and over the hill. They need to get somthing for him now. I mean he is already talking about retirment. And like I said, they give up way too many goals!

Its not like they can get a better goalie. They have toskala (Again exept when he gave up that 120 something footer) and hes pretty good. Ok lets agree on this. They need young players on the offence AND goalie. After they dont have Sundin, their goal scorers are: Ponikarovsky, Antropov, and thats it. And they're only 20-30 goal-scorers at best. They have to get more offence. As for their goalie, i dont really know where they could go to. Maybe Cristobal Huet if washington dont re-sign him (highly unlikely). And if not huet, they could go after Kolzig. After that their choices are narrowed down quite a bit. Mabey they can pick up Emery LMAO. No, but really, they could probably go after... Hedberg (Is that his name? The Atlanta goalie). Ya as I said: Their options are narrowed down quite a bit after the two Washington goalies.

Another trade possiblity for you to rate: Semin for Lombardi and a 5th round D pick.

And (Hipothedicly (WTF I reaaaaaaaly cant spell)) Ovechkin for Kipper and Lombardi.

toskala is an ok goalie. I think they are ok with him. He was hurt a little last year and if he is able to stay healthy I think they will be fine with him. And again, Sundin has 2 years left at best, if they can't contend with him now, they are better off getting somthing for him.

As for the Trades. The frst one might be a good one. I saw the flames lost Tangay so they could use another guy up front. It may be a hard deal to swing atm though Semin had a reall good year last year if I remember right.

The second trade would never happen (especially after the Caps gave Ovechkin that huge deal) so it is not reall worth talking about. Plus you wouldn't want to trade a goalie like Kipper without some kind of security blanket at that position.

Well I guess our pic reeeaaally didnt make a differance since we gave it up to Anaheim for Cammelari. He should do fine in Calgary. No offence to tangay, but he was getting kinda old, and cammelari is a young player with great expectations.

I guess its time to see if the system of LA worked: If youre over 30 (exept for Rob Blake) youre off the team and were getting a draft pic for ya. They had alot of draft pics. I guess its going to be a rebuilding stage for them. I really hope they do well since im kinda (half-assed) rooting for them since theyre my gf's team (High treason if you ask me)

The most likly trade would be the first one, I would keep Koivu though. The second would be the best for the wild but the senators would never do that. >> The third could be considered too, but again I think they are better off with what they have.

I am really disappointed the wild traded Rolston though. Since they weren't going to sign him it is good they got somthing for him at least I guess. >>

Kolzig. Picked up by the lightning. FINNALLY. ACTUALLY a good goally for the lighting, whove been in search for one all these years!!

Huet. Picked up by Chicago. Good for them. A good goalie for a young organization

Shatan. Picked up by the PenguinsGreat sining!! A good forward since they lost quite a few players to the Hossa trade, THAN losing
Hossa.

And finnally: Radim Vrbata picked up by the lightning. A breakout season for the young man. He had 27 goals last season (his rookie years), making him a great prospect for the future years. Who knows, he might have the same connection Crosby has with Malkin, with Stamkos.

More power to the Wild. =p You are right about chicago. They had some great signings. Also Rolston will fit in nicly with the Devils. Especially since he has been there before. I don't think signing Kolzig gives the Lighting a boost though. The guy is definetly on the downside of his career.

You cant really say that... Last season he was really good...well, I get your point; hes getting old (Kolzig).

The sharks have lost a great defencemen, and got another in Dan Boyle (Ottawa Native!! Went to my High School!! Woot!!).

Roloston was originaly drafted by the devils if I'm not mistaken. Anyways, Hossa! With the cup champions! Wow! I did not see that cominf! Well, Im sure hell come back to the Eastern Conference next season.

BERTUZZI IS WITH US B****!!!!! YES!!! Great! Finnally some muscle to protect our offence!

Ottawa news: They just signed Jason Smith to a 2 year contract.

The Boyle saga might have hurt Tampa Bay chemistrie, Would be very interesting to see how the locker room will be like. I can't say a lot since I am a Thrashers fan hahaha.
