Default Gurren Lagann 19

Man! I haven't had my blood pressure raised so much by the story in an anime
in a long, long time. By the end of the episode I was yelling at the screen;
"Shoot 'em! Shoot 'em all!!!"

I think that this clears up the matter of who "isn't" the second-in-command
in the prologue pretty much once and for all.

It's so hard to believe that this is a Sunday morning anime.

"Kill them all, God will know His own" :)

it has been hard for me to watch the last 2 episodes too,
but it's getting better now:

- we'll get Viral in the next episode

- Nia still has the ring (btw. i like this anti-spiral Nia much more
than the old version :)... it would be great if Nia would remain
anti-spiral forever, and Simon would be able to persuade her that what
she's doing is wrong, and so she would become a "good" anti-spiral
Nia.... but probably Gainax will go with the simpler route and simply
make Nia revert back to her old self at some point... but, after seeing
episode #8, maybe there's still hope)

- great character development... for example Kinon... how she's still
not questioning Rossiu's ways...

The title of the 20th episode will be "kami wa dokomade
bokura wo tamesu" [How far does the god test us]
that immediately reminded me of "The Book of Job"
from The Old Testament.

Is Gainax going to make another Judeo-Christian inspired
fake-symbolic story?

I'm thinking more along the lines of the early years of Temujin as a model
for Simon...
