| Adult Swim had an ad bump last night that said "Moribito is Saturday "Operation Perfectly Good Anime Show Success "likely grounded by poor ratings and web dub pirations. " But here we go anyway ( B/W pic of female warrior with spear scrolls in. ) "Seirei no Moribito Premiering August 23 @ 1:30am "Requesting permission to launch for failure " ( permission granted )" One way of announcing it, I guess. Maybe they like to downplay expectations these days. :) Or maybe that's internal sadness over life with corporate masters. :( I think this being on AS was out some time back, but this is the first time I've heard of a day and time. August 23rd is a Saturday, so I think they meant the am of the 24th. Anime News Network lists August 24th as the premier day in their encyc entry for the show. And AS's schedule servlet script page thingy lists it on the 24th, with the full title as "Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit". ( I hate that page, btw. But it seems to have AS's best schedule info. ) The bump was on about 12:30 AM zone 8 ( Pacific Coast ). And I guess Cowboy Bebop was only brought back in for a one night stand. :) DBB |

As if they've had to keep up their image, and desperately want to move on to other things, so they won't have to avoid insulting their own fans directly. Either way, they're starting to lose their status as "The Channel That Cares About Anime"-- We've GOT to start getting some emergency backups for mainstream non-demand broadcast.
