But then again, from Chapter 1, Ryuk said right off the bat that he will be the one to write Light name in his Death Note. And we all know how the Shinigami are impatient and when there is not enough fun, he will just kill the Death Note Owner instead of waiting for him to die. ;)

lol I try to imagne Ryuk hanging on Light until he's dead haha. Beside should he ge get caught, he will get capital punishmen anyway. So it's more logical to have Ryuk kill him haha

yes because euthanasia is term as mercy-killing and Ryuk must have felt pity to Light's current state lol

I dont think Ryuk pitied Light. I think that Ryuk just figured that if Light wasn't smart enough to get out of this one on his own, then what good was it to keep him alive?
