Well after L died I pretty much lost interest in death note

I agree, when L died...I couldin't belive it! I LOVED L....But I do love Kira as well....

The series lost some charm when L died. Though I continued watching and reading the manga anyways, to see Light fall into madness....it was ovious that he would do so....but it was still interesting to watch!

Overall the series is still a great anime/manga, even though L dies.

It's like Sherlock Holmes without Moriarty, it lacks that special 'something'. Plus it is better if the protagonist and antagonist are roughly the same age, not noticeably skewed one way.

i was extremely disappointed when L had died. i was almost tempted to stop but my friend persuaded me to finish watching the series. plus L was the one who kept me laughing at the series and his ideas we're ingenious. plus i was disappointed how they killed off Light/Kira...pathetic way to go. i thought it was humorous of how Ryuk just killed him without thinking.
