ICPO = poorly made

I was watching Death Note the other day... and I know this is anime so they HAVE to put it in japanease... but wouldnt it have made more sense if all the ICPO members wouldve spoken in english? I doubt they wouldve all spoken japanease when the whole world is there...

another thing that kinda pissed me off was that the leader of the FBI spoke freaking japanease... thats just MESSED! in the US!!!

anyways, that was my little rant, you can share your thoughts if you want ^^

I agree, I was thinking about that when i watched the anime
I mean FBI speaking Japanese, That was weird
It feels like sth is wrong and I thing they shouldn't make such mistakes if they were really good since the anime was successful

It happens in most anime, or even most animations, its better for the people recieving the show/s

yeah. that happens in the typical american made "asian film" aswell. they forgeiners speak their own language when other people are around but when they're by themselves they speak fluent english...

yes , well I have seen this situation on most anime. It would have been better if ICPO and FBI actually spoke in English and for the sake of japaneese crowd who watch this anime, put those convo's in katagana subs.

but then again its kind of acceptable since its not a major issu for us to enjoy the anime, death note is a great anime :D

lOL abviously you dont know much bout the FBI now I aint pretending to be any expert on it or anything but I know this. In any goverment organization you have a 70 percent better chance when you say I am Bilingual. Plus they usualy teach all there FBI agents nw languags the whole show and Think bout it this way if they know the deathnote is in Japan and so is kira wouldnt it make sence to only make sence if you had lots of Japanese speakers there aswell like say the wholew task force

If I'm thinking about the same thing, I'm pretty sure the English FBI agent [are we talking about the one on the television?] is speaking in English, but there's a Japanese dub over it, just like we get on our news channels, and such?
Correct me, if I'm wrong.

But yeah, it's also common in american movies and cartoons, etc. where the audience most likely watching it will speak and understand English, so all characters tend to speak English, even if they're from other countries or would typically speak a different language.
Afterall, we have our dubs, where they're supposed to be Japanese, but are clearly speaking English.
