Just a few questions!!!

Hi there! I have just read the manga, watched the anime and all three movies and loved it! I loved the characters and the plot twists. I have to say this is one of my favourite anime/manga ever.

Anyways I have lot's of questions below and it would be really intresting too say what people think! Btw there are lot's of spoilers below!!!






I watched the anime first then I watched the live action movies. And I really enjoyed Ken'ichii's portrayal of L. Before I watched it I did no think that anyone could pull L off but I was pleasantly suprised. But I think the ending of the movie was much better than the manga. How they kept it between L vs Light/Kira. I really did not like Near. Mello was ok but maybe it's because I wanted L to win and not want him too die.
What did you guys think of the ending between the manga and the movies?

2) Did Near and Mellow like L they seemed to resent him. I have got Death Note how to read 13 and it says Near made L (the finger puppet) ugly as he saw him this way.... Why???? I have read Death Note: Another Note and Mello met L do you think Near ever met him?

3) Talking of Death Note Another note, L says he never met BB then how the hell did BB copy L so perfectly and I still feel they are related in some way as they looked so alike.

4) Who do you believe was the most clever? Light, Near, Mello or L. I believe L was the most clever I know he died but he did now that Light was Kira.

5) In Death Note how to read 13 it says L learnt capoeria because he has got himself into some dangerous situations so this means L is not an armchair detective as we where led to believe.

Right here comes out the fangirl lol.

A lot of people are fans of L x Light which I am not as I think it is sick. But do you think L has EVER had a girlfriend? I mean I know he is SUPER clever but he still has feeling and desires lol. Do you think he was telling the truth what he said to Misa that he fancied her and that he could fall for her? What do you think is Ls type?

Light does not seem to see women as equals just tools. I do feel Light is a bit sexist does anyone else?

Lastly there are A LOT of websites that claim L is a pervert....WHY????

Anyways hope I do get some replies as I would love to see your guys thoughts!! Like I said am new to Death Note and hope I have not rabbled on too much lol\\/

1. I haven't read the manga but if the series counts I liked the first arc, where light won, but didn't care as much for the second arc. I thought the movies were pretty good still though.

2. I think that near and mello both had respect for L. I haven't read how to read a death note so I am not sure about the whole finger puppet thing, it's possible people are reading too much into the whole thing.

3. It's possible bb and L were similar intellectually which also affected made their habits resemble each other. I don't believe that the way bb acted in the book was an act he was doing to throw naomi off. I think that was his personality, they say great minds think alike.

4. L was by far the most intelligent, even near and mello agreed to that. Light only won because he had all the information and the death note, if it was just Light vs L there would have been little competition. But I think that BB may have been L's equal

5. I don't think they ever tried to imply that L was an armchair detective. It was just that he had to hide himself in order to protect himself. They also talk about it in "another note"

As for the whole L thing I think that there are instances when ones intelligence is such that relationships aren't as important for them as they would normally be. I imagine with the life L had lived he may not have had a relationship. He was still relatively young.
Yea I agree Light was a bit sexist but so are most men. It may not have been sexist as much as he viewed women as worthless for the most part. He did the same with men too so maybe he just never found a women he respected although he did seem to respect naomi a bit.

People will claim everything about anything. A lot of people probably just want to see L as a pervert. It's the same with LxLight.

Wow thank you RighteousRob for your reply I really enjoyed your thoughts! Yeah I agree with you about Light and men in general. So don't you think that L had any form of a relationship? Do you think he was a virgin?

I did not care much for the second arc either, I think it would of been much better if the end battle was L vs Light. I was not keen on a new battle for Light and two clever children.

Yeah I know that girl did but I don't think it is that hard to believe...I mean if you go of the films then NO WAY as L is potrayed A LOT stranger in the films. Rather than the manga/anime which he seemed normal compared to the films. (BTW I loved the potrayal of L in the live actions and love L Change The World but I do think they made him a lot stranger in the films and a bit more comical)
Anyways getting to my point he is only human all said and done and like all of us will have human urges lol

though L was more of a human , a human with the prime objective of solving the cases trusted to him that's all he cared about with the exception of a little perversion and ofc all the 24X7 eating LOL :P

Thank you for your reply and like you said L was more human in the anime/manga than the films and that his main objective in life was to solve cases. However I find it difficult to believe through his twenty five years of life all he did was solve cases. L file 15 showed that L liked to go to concerts, art galleries and theme parks etc (though granted I did find it L file 15 a bit strange for example how he went to the toliet and had a shower) I think the writer personally based that a bit on the films they again went a bit overboard from making L look a super genius to a abnormal super genius.
Anyway getting back to the point even if L did not have a girlfriend I find it hard to believe that he did not have a physical relationship as it is stated he did go out side and have a life among being the greatest detective I am not doubting that it took up most of his time. However I am sure the greatest detective needed a break once in a while and enjoyed other things other than just eating sweets
