Qawls, I've noticed you're a tad immature when it comes to authority, but awsome post, I totally agree.

I thought, 'L', and Light had very similar characteristics in the beginning, but as the story progressed Light became an inhumane, psychopath, but you cannot blame him for his actions, the DNs power consumed him. Light would have became, L's successor without possessing the Deathnote in the first place, and after taking his place as the new face of L, he would of had no intention of committing senseless murder! Don't blame Light blame the DN!
I believe that if L came across a DN, his planning and actions would have been almost identical to Lights. And if L had ended up surviving throughout the story he would have used the DN the Japanese police department had acquired for personal benefits.
So yes I would kill L if I had the opportunity.

death note may be just a tool, but it's a tool with great power and as we all know.. power corrupts and power makes us become afraid to lose it
so the death note would in fact have an effect on a person and his behavior and actions

Yes it would have an effect.But it is not the only thing that has an effect.And it is not power that corrupts ( even though i've said that line so many times myself) but the human nature.The human nature corrupts itself over time,and that cannot be disputed.
