yeah, the ending of the manga is the main reason that i have yet to read the manga, but mangas are usually better than animes, so thats why it is still on the to read list and not wont read list

I'm sorry but this is a lie, unless you can prove it with some UNEDITED OFFICIAL source? Since this is the only time I've heard of him being called Lawliet Lawsford, official material states his LAST name is Lawliet, his first name has only ever been stated as being "L", I'm guessing the creator didn't want him to have a real first name because that is the point of his character.

I know in Japan they use the last name first but I doubt Lawsford is his first name either.

Hum I know that the guide did say that his real name is L Lawliett but I have a tenency to think that might also a nickname. I have a feeling that L don't even know what is his real name. Only person to know this whould be Misa and of course those Shinigami. the reason why I am thinking that way is because with a name a peticuliar as L Lawliett, there is no way for Misa, even if she is seeing tons of names a day to forget that. Knowing that Light ennemie is L, that should automatically trigger something in the subconcious already. Well that's my point of view and by no mean do i think it is the truth :)

And the chapter pilot [vol. 00] It said that the real name of L was 'Lawliet Ryusaki' but... now... I'm not sure

The DVD.2 from Death Note incluides a figurines of L and his real name. Someone has purchased that?

Ryusaki is an alias he used when he was working with the police to capture Kira, it's not his real name (why would he tell the police to use Ryusaki so Kira couldn't find his name if it was his real name?)

Until it's been made official by the creators of death note I'm not going to believe what some random person who had only just joined the forums says. I find it silly that everyone believed them as well without asking for proof, anyone could just join and make up a name and say its real that way.

That isn't his real name, Lawsford is mentioned NOWHERE official and has just come out of one random persons mouth and everyone is believing it....

Ryuzaki was an alias, like I just said, why would he tell the police to use his REAL name so Kira couldn't kill him, it doesn't make sense. And his name is L Lawliet so if L isn't his real name (possible) his name would begin with L.

But again, it's not Lawsford, I could say his real name is Larry Lawliet, would you all believe me then? I hope not.
