| Chaos | This anime was absolutely fascinating until about episode 26. Then it went entirely downhill for me. The brilliant character development was entirely lost, and the story fell flat. To be honest, I still haven't watched the last 3 episodes, and I may never, because I heard from a good friend that Light died in a totally lame manner. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I agree. I kinda was disappointed to see the Kira's (Light's) death in the end. I mean, I wouldn't mind if it was actually a good death. Although, I can't really figure out what would've been a good death at the top of my head, I'm hoping it'd be better than the way he actually died. It was just really...pathetic in my view. Going through all those schemes and killing, in the last moment, he was begging for life. He didn't want to die. I just thought it was very human...but pathetic. *shakes head* Oh well...I was sorta saved in the live-action version. So in a way, I'd prefer the ending of the live-action version than the anime/manga version. Actually...he does. :) |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | In the movie L fakes his own death by writing his own name in the Death Note for the maximum time in the future and then making Light think he has killed him. The reason I didn't like Light's death in the anime/manga was that it was simply too out of character, plus Light simply doesn't consider the logical contingency plans he should have, all through the series they make him brilliant and he dies not die in a way his mind should have let him. Of course if you prefer to think of it this way, the only reason Light died was because Near was lucky, but it's still bad writing.
