I thought the first half was better than the second, but I do think they wrapped it up fairly well. After all, Light was still human, even if he was insane and wanted to be a God. Reality finally caught up.

hmmm..... I personally loved the ending.
While I was sad to see Light die, since he was an awesome character, I think that was the message of the anime: a power like that simply drives one power-crazy. I mean, at the end the author drew his features all distorted and rat like, so I think the ending was attempting to get across the whole corruption-of-power thing.

The ending was good. It was the same in the manga as the anime, except for some details. But I liked how L was standing over Light. It was fitting.

Ive mixed feelings about the anime, Ill start reading the manga now. How do I go about seeing the "Live action"? Thats a new one to me. thanx

I agree with you. Even though it sucked majorly to see Light react that way, it did finish the series in a good way. Needless to say, I still was pissed off for a week about it.

You see, it's not the whole Light losing thing I hate, it's that he does it so out of character.
The writers basically got slack with things and wanted to wrap it up quickly, thus the rushed, and in my opinion badly written end.

they making a movie about L called L:change the world or something like that it's about L and his last days on earth

The episodes between L's death and the ending just didn't pack the same punch as the previous episodes. I really did like the last two episodes and how they had me sitting on the edge of my seat, but the ones before them I really had to struggle through to keep watching.
