anime reccomendation thread regarding, darkness, violence, desensitizing, sadistic

theres a lot of threads of people asking for anime recomendations, I'm here to ask for great titles that are extremely dark and or violent, depressing.
My favorite dark titles include:
Gantz
Gungrave
Deathnote
Samurai X

If you could yuse these to base your recomendations that would be great.
No need to recomend Berserk I've already heard of it/seen it.

Also explian why I might like it.

Hmm. Well, it's a liyyle different form what yo;ve got listed but Elfen Lied is heavy on the blood flying around. I love it, but more for the story. Can be kinda disturbing at times though. Vampire Hunter D, oldish, but got some decent violence. Blood+ as well, vampires pretty good. I know a few more, but not off the top of my head. Guyver, heard good things.

I watched episode 1 and it had about as much substance as sometihng with no substance >.> worst similie ever.
and was as dark as a brightly lit room.
