Are animes exclusive only for kids?? - Page 3

anime is part of intertaiment...so its for everyone.pluss anime its self has several categories, for kids and adult..no kids would love to watch bloody,gore anime like hellsing,bisilink,bersek, etc...so that type of anime is create for adult viewer(mature)

and if anime consider as for kids...how bout toys...i mean like gundam, PVC and statue. no kids able to buy toys like that..so their target market is not for kids...for adult.

That's kinda stupid of them to say.xDD Maybe it's because of Naruto? I remember this one person going up to me and told me that anime is for kids. And I was like, is Hentai (porn), and Yaoi for kids?! XD
Srsly, there are stuff in anime that kids shouldn't watch.o-o

I'm the only one in my whole family who watches anime and knows english very well and im the only who can type very fast, but the point is everyone is telling me that anime is for kids, but i just ignore them, who cares if its for kids. Do u stop watching anime if someone tells u to stop, NO! cause ur the one whose watching it not them and the only way to avoid all this is with one word: IGNORE!!

IGNORING is the only thing i do!

Sry for repeating the word "ignore" so much, cause im really mad at people who say anime is for kids only, anime is free 4 all!

I was watching anime when i was 16 and now im 19 and i still watch anime.

I will still watch anime until i finish every anime i like, hehe!

i only like comedy, romance, a little bit of echii, and alot of action and fighting, and many more!

Hmm...perhaps you could ask them to do some research on japanese manga. I'm not too sure about other cultures, but for japan, manga is a way for them to actually propagate their culture to other ppl. Regardless of gender or age. Anime is just basically moving pictures. They're still based off mangas which in essence contains a piece of that country's culture.

Its fundamentally wrong to say anime is for kids just because kids find it easier and simpler to see pictures than read thousands of pages full of words. Furthermore, the human brain retains pictorial memory better than words, which is why the phrase a picture speaks a thousand words came about. That is probably one of the reasons japan chooses to spread its own culture to its ppl through manga.

They should learn to see beyond the simple plot or mindlessness of certain animes to realise that the story writer of the manga which then sprouts the animators' desire to turn it into an anime is communicating a certain message in his/her pictures.

Like how naruto actually promotes teamwork, hardwork and discipline, or how rosario + vampire tells you about school life seeming to be tough and fraught with "dangers" but having friends around makes it worthwhile and also what doesn't kills you makes you a stronger person.

These kinds of message should also be told to adults, so we can't just say anime is for kids and its not really about what is suited for which age group. Although, I suppose with all the plots and cute pictures being the main front, people tend to forget to look behind the scenes or read between the lines. Furthermore everyone continues to learn new things even after they graduate from school XD

Hmm...so I guess i'd be the third guy you know that watches romance anime then XD there are some interesting romance mangas too though...like after school wedding and my 1/3 boyfriend XD pity they're so short...just like millenium snow..
