So far Gundam 00, Gundam Seed (Not including Destiny),Gundam Wing, Fullmetal Panic, and Escaflowne are my favorites.

Gundam 00 is at the top of the list though being as it is my second favorite anime. =p It has a great story, characters that compliment each other well, and great mecha battles. :)

The best? For me, perhaps Vandread. That series was what got me started on mecha anime.

yees the New Gundam 00 is great, but I will wait for the story to close to give my judgement...
also with code geass as now the story is in progress I cant say is it really great or just good...
if they make a good ending then the code geass would be my new favourite...

i like gundam wing, seed(not destiny) and full metal panic.
I had watched gundam 00, it has good story.
And i prefer Gundam Wing is the best for me.

FLCL! Even though it's not entirely a mech anime. I don't really like mech so, FLCL ftw! =D

ahh but code geass is splendid with the R2 it hit the right spot...
the battles are really detailed and the Freya hit the top in the episode 18...
