Card captor Sakura ---> Tsubasa chronicles

Stupid question really but is Tsubasa chronicles a sequel to Card captor Sakura? the general description says that the main chars have the same name and both mention "clow", I have started watching CCS and I don't wanna spoil TC if its a sequel can someone tell me if their supposed to be separate or watched chronologically.

No they are not. They use some of the same characters, but they are not related in more then that. I believe all that is really from CCS in TC, is the characters and I believe Sakura is the princess of Clow Kingdom.......which has the word Clow in it. Now XXXHolic does crossover with TC at some points, in the manga anyways not sure about the anime on the XXXHolic front.

Tsubasa Chronicle, xxxHolic, Card Captor Sakura and most of the other Clamp Work is all in the same universe (not same planets/space, just different parallel dimensions) . Meaning they could potentially meet each other.

In xxxHolic, the dimension witch Yuuko has the same magical rod that Card Captor Sakura has, implies that it knows Clow Reed from the CCS universe (It may have been the same Clow Reed in every dimensions, but not sure of this).

Summing it up: xxxHolic and Tsubasa Chronicle is linked, happening side by side, while CCS and Tsubasa Chronicles happens independently of each other, altho xxxHolic mentions CCS as much as other CLAMP works.

In TC where Sakura wins he Chess like battle competition or something, she wins a robot that can take her to other dimension that looks like Chii from chobits?(the name is also the same)

They re-use characters but that would probably be it.

CLAMP went through some hard times, so in order to get back to their feet, they took the main characters from their past works and fused them in one dimension-crossing adventure story (the most efficient way to get rating. and lots of it) or so I heard. but that's all there is to it. they didn't only take characters from CCS and xxxholic. they also took:
Momo and Sumomo from Sumomo mo Momo mo
Chii from Chobits
some characters from Rayearth (haven't watched it so I don't know which ones)
and maybe more.

I used to watch the card captors a couple of years back and i am replying only because i like the two main charcters of that series Sakura and the boy which is competng with him in capturing cards for becoming the master of cards.
