The biggest problem is that the Claymore manga wasn't very popular in Japan so we can even assume the worst.

Claymore is quite popular for its genre. The manga resumes in Jump Square at the start of next month and there have been Teresa side chapters running in weekly jump for a while now.

As of June 6 2007, the final issue of Monthly Shonen Jump was released and the magazine cancelled, while the Claymore manga appeared on a monthly basis for a brief period in Weekly Shonen Jump. On the 2nd of November, later this year, Claymore will be continued in Jump Square.

Please read what I said. I Said SHOUNEN JUMP died, not the manga.

man claymore was an awesome anime, and i may start reading the manga from the internet...but i will hope for season 2 anyways, just for the sake of it XD

Its up to chapter 73 I think in terms of translated, also 4 Extra Scenes out. You can find it on most manga sites, its pretty popular.
