Do you buy anime?

and if you do, what have you bought? And why do you buy anime when you can download it?

as for myself....:

Full Metal Panic(complete)
Hellsing(complete)
Ragnarok the animation(complete)
Last Exile(complete)
Akira
Spriggan
FF7: Advent Children

I'm currently saving up money to Full Metal Alchemist the movie(limited editon) and Azumanga Daioh. After that I'll probably concentrate on buying manga untill Lucky Star is released in my country..

The reason I buy anime is...well, there's several reasons. First of all, I want to support the growth of anime in Sweden. A few companies have tried to sell anime, but most of them have failed and canceled the relases(Full Metal Panic for example. 6 of 7 DVDs was released and then they gave up so I had to buy the last one from the UK)... I'm hoping that Noble Entertainment will change that. They're releasing complete shows with quality subs for as cheap as 32$.
Another reason why i buy is that it's alot more fun to watch bought anime on the TV, than watching it illegaly download on your computer. I really think it's alot more fun to have a collection in the DVD-shelf ^^

I buy some of mine. I have about 20 complete series and a few movies. =p
I buy it to support the industry as well. I watch plenty of free anime so I can chip in a little. :)

Now that I have a decent internet connection I don't buy anime because it is a complete rip off !
I'm talking forking over 30 Euro for a dvd containing 3-4 episodes thats like ten Euro an episode forget that !

I can understand that! Good thing there's been an increase in complete shows to a cheap price lately. There's been a demand for that....

It's a 3 disc and it was like 35-45 o.o...I don't remember, I remember taking out a 50$ bill : P

I did buy anime before I got a decent computer and internet connection
I got the first series of fmp for 210 euro
I got sakua diaries (one of the first complete sseries out and not popular) for 30 euro
I got the boxed set of Ghost in the Shell SAC for 80euro
I bought aload of movies at 25 euro a go
I ordered Grenedier fumoffu and FMP second raid for 30 euro each inc delivery for 40 each from china via ebay
Then I made friends with a guy eho burns his anime to dvd when he's finished so he passed it on to me then I got my a decent internet connection and pc

and Fate Stay Night hahaha as for that no more im planning to get SHakugan no Shana maybe after the second season is complete

I've never bought anime. There's like only 2-3 episodes in each disc and they want you to buy those discs separately as well.
