Elfen Lied End ???

Ok i'm sooooooo confused...!?
jus watched the finnal ep(13)of elfen lied ... and i'm a bit confused,hope u guys can help out :)

ok,it's like this : in the last few minutes of the ep,Lucy and Kotha and standin' at the top of the rock stairs overlooking the ocean and they hug and cry (very heartbreaking :) i was wathcing with my girlfriend ) and the next scene Lucy is on the bridge beeing fired apon by 50 SAT guys,and then when their all eating lunch the next day (kotha,mayu,nana,yuka) someone rings the doorbell and the old clock starts working,THE END ??? wtf .... i'm confused ...what's that all about ?

can some1 explain ? (i tried and it doesn't make any scence 2 me,or maybe i have 2 much beer runing thru my vains right now lol )

the end is kinda stupid but basically lucy pointed to other mutent girl that she is not gonna live with kota again so she went to the SWAT so she can be killed.. HOWEVER, :), the director seems that he/she changed mind and wanted lucy alive so let her come and ring the bell and the clock worked again becoz she was fixing it in one of the episodes implying that the one on the door is lucy :D stupid ending but the manga doesnt stop there so u can complete the story through the manga

I liked the ending. I think it is good Lucy got a chance at living a happy life. And as most people propabaly noticed both of her horns got ripped off. One by #35 and one by the soldiers in the final ep. I think that means she will have a chance at living normal. Even if there are a little bit left she can still hide it. The only thing about the ending that I didn't like was we never really found out anything about the head guy at the facility where they studied the Diclonious. We know very little about him for someone who seems to have such an important posiotion. But if the manga goes on I bet there is more about him in there.

Yea, I was surprised at how it ended in the anime, but just as stated previously, the manga continues it, although the story towards the end of the anime is a little diff in the manga, but either case, you'll like it in the amnga

Some say it is a sad ending...so..i guess that is what they mean. Anyway..i would like to see the manga too...have a link?

There are some parts about the end that are sad, but for the most part I think (at least for the Diclonious Lucy, Nana, and Marico) that it is a happy ending. Marico finally got meet her father and share a good moment (even though they die, it is the thought that counts), Nana got to taste the noodle dish she didn't get to try before the Marico (and she gets to stay living at the house), and Lucy gets to go back to. So I think it is happy anyways (the ending).

Hrm..yea,you got the point,the ending is good. It's just that the ending for Lucy didn't show clearly(just a shadow at the door) so...kinda suspense don't you think? Make us figure out the ending ourself for her ending ^^"
