Ghost in the Shell 2.0 Promo

For all original gits movie lovers (me) :

The official Japanese website of Mamoru Oshii's The Sky Crawlers film has posted a promotional video for Ghost in the Shell 2.0, the enhanced edition of the first Ghost in the Shell cyberspace film. The website also posted an article that describes the visual updates and audio remixing for this edition that opens in five Japanese [COLOR=blue ! important][COLOR=blue ! important]theaters[/color][/color] on July 12. The Ticket Pia agency has also posted three before-and-after images and the poster image.

Sounds very interesting you can already c the bIg diff in the CG/artwork ,but i cant wait till august to come out (and who know how long for it to be subed)

that video shows some new footage as well as old one... maybe this one is a remake...
it is hard to say...
but i look forward to it...

Well it is a remake,of the original movie,same char's storyline,plot etc,but just with enhanced CG and artwork :)

looks nice, but did you see The Sky Crawlers promo video of the movie (the one on the right). It looks like a pretty good movie, it sure got my attention.

It is out! God, I'm sooo bummed out right now! My slow internet connection won't even let me see the promo trailer...

How's the character detail? Maj. Motoko looking better or worse?

Cant wait to see this come out, always like it when they do a remake of a good series and improve it ^_^

Can anyone enlighten me - what's the reason of remaking it? Besides money, which is pretty obvious =P Making it more 'user-friendly'? ;)

To make things clear: I watched original versions and probably gonna watch this one, but... well... I just can't get rid of the feeling of being a bit manipulated ;)

Well the Movie will air in Japan on the 2nd of Augutst .

Most likely they felt that if they would remake it with better CGI than in 1995 then it would better ocnvey the story, well it is basicly the same with new Evangelion rebuilds...
