.hack//sign 1 or .hack//root

I'm confused which hack series I should watch first since I started with .hack//sign and didn't get anything....

I think the series goes in this order

.hack//sign (Anime)
.hack//limanality (anime)
.hack//dusk or legend of the twilight (anime & manga)
.hack//roots (anime)
I might be missing some dunno. >:o

I think the main story line goes like this:
Sign (my fave)
IMOQ (the Kite games)
Roots (anime)
GU (game and manga)

but Sign is defiantly first.

I am also one that watched Hack//sign first, what makes it clear that it does come before Hack//roots is that the character Sora in /sign is a kid and he's apparently the same character as Haseo in /roots who's now a teenager.
Most of the .Hack stories don't seem to have a particular order since they follow different characters except for the order they were made I guess.

They do have an order, if you look at the dates when the anime is supposed to be taking place also

in Sign Morgana is introduced she is defeated in IMOQ and the world gets deleted in Roots the world has been recreated as version R2

Also i refuse to accept the Sora is Haseo, it is not in any of the animes or games
