hunter x hunter

what happened to hunter x hunter? i just download that and watch it out, i was only checking for new episode to be release, but what happen? when i check it on wiki, they say that it finish since 2002, wha's up with that, and it ended in this big cliffhanger kinda way...

but i know that sometimes the anime just has a name change after a couple seasons or a time skip or whatever... somebody tell me that it just operating under a different name or something...

or then, just up to what chapter in the manga they reach in the anime, cause i will have to read it, if it really done.

why?

Well, the second ova of greed island is the end. The manga continues from there, but the author has been stopping and starting the series for some time now and the arc following GI has not finished. Last that I heard, he started it up again... where the anime ends and the manga takes over w/ the new arc, I don't know. I assume once they finish the most recent arc, they may make an OVA to follow up the last.

The creator got tired of it and now writes the manga whenever he feels like it. So not much more has been written to warrant a new anime.

that's sad... it was soooo good, well not soooooo good, but better than a lot of the others...

the manga is resuming early october (6th-10th cant remember exact date) apparently the author has been sick.
