shoo, dubbed anime grinds on my nerves. i can't take it. american voice actors suck imho, there's VERY few anime i prefer to watch dubbed. Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, and .hack//ROOTS are like the only anime i'll watch dubbed. and Sailor Moon, cuz i just got so used to hearing it in english... those are really the only anime i think that have actually well done american voice acting.

Well to be honest i started out with dubbed versions only at that time not many friends i knew were into anime that could give me sub versions and the fact i had dial up until a few years ago, so i had to settle for dub on tv, that was until i got a faster internet connection and found the right sites for sub anime (AnimeA) lol, subs for me. U can pick the defects to alot of dub versions. Lip movement, VOICES, some scenes get cut out on dub versions. but having said that there are a few expections that i'll watch in dub because i really get into it and get lazy with keeping up with the subs lol, initial D dbz samurai champloo g.t.o. cowboy bebop and zoids to name a few. Majority of the time its subs all the way!!!

Subbed, for sure, because as a learner of the Japanese language, I really favor its value in combining entertainment and education. Plus, it's truer to form than a dubbed version, which can contort some dialogues to reflect something whereas something else is meant.

Subbed over dubbed if the dub sucks, while there are some shows that the dubbing is good and addictive.

Most of the anime I watch are subbed. I would have preferred dubbed version if, and only if, it is of good quality. But unfortunately, there are only a relatively small number of anime that has a good dubbed version. Having said that, I'll go with the subbed versions... for now.

I prefer watching subbed anime. Even though some dubs are good considering series such as Dragonball Z or movies such as Spirited away. I always like to watch the subbed before the dubbed because a lot more effort has been put into the subbed most of the time especially when it comes to voice acting.

Also some dubbed series have parts changed or cut out from the original Japanese animated series seeing as they have been criticized for being inappropriate for viewers of other countries. Take for example, One Piece. The Difference between the dubbed and subbed version is the fact that blood and drugs have been cut out not to mention course language as well. However some dubbed anime's released on DVD have been produced with the uncut, therefore allowing viewers to watch the series without missing any detail.

If voice actors were to put in more effort when dubbing a series as well as getting the timing right, then I would prefer watching dub but other than that, its been easier to get subbed rather then dubbed seeing as there have been more subbed anime's on the internet rather then dubbed. Dubbed anime have been produced more on DVDs for those who want to see the anime subbed or dubbed including uncuts and extras.
