i was hooked after the fist thing i saw alltho at the time anime was largely not rely available and shows like DBZ were a year or more off airing in the uk but was allways looking for anything to watch.

Akira was the Film that got me hooked and what a visually awesome to start on and i still love to watch it now

Well I've watched allot of anime over the years but something about
death note had me hooked like cats on cat nip from episode 1

I would have to say Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and its sequel. The whole anime may have appeared to be a normal, cutsie anime at first, but that's what made it interesting when all of the horror and suspense started kicking in. I mean, what's not to like about that?

i think gravitation,FMA,Bleach and lovely complex.gravitation gave me the passion for anime,lovely complex made me laugh untill i fell down and FMA and Bleach are just masterpieces,they give me a reason to live[dramatic huh?]

I had seen a few animes when I was younger but at teh time I thought they were just cartoons

I had watched a few anime movies like Ghost in the Shell Ninja scroll and Akira
then I bought the Ghost in the shell boxed set and that got me hooked

yeah afer I was hooked on anime afer FMA, the Ghost in the Shell SAC was the next my favourite, I just couldnt bear when the series ended...
well after 2nd GIG it was even worse but they the movie did came out...
now I am waiting for the original movie remasteded edition(all the CGI is renewed and quality is heightened)
