Rep Power: 152 | Okay everyone. Time to go on-topic again. I'm still waiting for a summary of the factions within Christianity. It would also be very interesting if someone from the Ortodox/Protestant/Chatolic church explains to us why he/she is a *one of the three above*, and also tells us how he/she feels about the two other "factions".

I know little about the Orthodox Church, so i can't say much about that, I feel that the catholic church has placed too much importance on tradition, and it was such thoughts that formed the Protestant churches. there are differences between the different Protestant churches, and it would take to long to describe all of them.

I don't dig the amoeba thing, or the ape descendant thing, but there's nothing to me, in my study of the bible (I used to be somewhat of a bible buff, but when you're able to correct your religious education teacher right through high school... you get bored), that states that there wasn't an earlier form of human that has changed over time. Which is why I call myself a Non-Denominational Evolutionary Christian :D | |

Rep Power: 0  | I agree wit the fact that there is a god and the bible shouldn't be taken at face value. Im a christian and ive read it and there are many times where Jesus himself makes exaggerations to make a point, not to be taken literally. Like where he says if your leg causes u to stumble in your faith cut it off. and the same thing for ur arms, hands, ect... He is just sayin remove sinful presences from ur life and all. Nothin ticks me off more than the uptight losers that take it word for word to the extreme and give us a bad name.
