i cant really find a reason to feel sorry for some Emos, cause they just took it up like a fashion, but the few who are emo for a reason are 'alright', in a likability sense. real emos dont complain about how much the world hates them, so i find it rather hard not to try and make friends with them.there is nothing wrong with emos, just the people who pretend to be.

Ahh, Emo bashing threads, how I lust for thee.

In my younger, happier years (before actually meeting an Emo), When ever I heard the word “Emo” I always thought of small, skinny, androgynous little boys who isolated themselves from the world and genuinely wanted to die.

Now whenever I hear “Emo” Spoken I think of small, skinny, androgynous little boys who like to PRETEND to isolate themselves from the world and that they want to die. And doing a bad job of it. Every time I see an Emo, there’s not just one, but at least six of them together. And know what, they’re always SMILING, and even LAUGHING.

“Don’t judge me man, you don’t know the extent of my anguish!” Was the answer I got after inquiring about one Emo boys HAIR!! WTF does hair have to do with anguish? Ah, so you’re a fifteen year old fat/anorexic kid who still brings in Beyblades to school, openly professes his undying love to his 45 year old English teacher and gets picked on for it, so you decided to start wearing clothes three sizes too small, makeup, and spending three hours every morning shaping your hair so you can go outside and sit in a corner and cry while people stare at you!? C’MON MAN!!

The above pretty much describes the Emo’s in my part of the world. Now don’t get me wrong, I actually don’t mind (much) if you wear tight pants and make up, and some Emo hair styles I’ve seen are actually pretty cool. BUT, saying that you isolate your self from human beings to "stop the pain" while hanging around in gangs of up to FIFTEEN F#£@ING PEOPLE during the day, and then talking to, like, 50 people on myspace or bebo at night… no, just no. Stop it now!

So for me, its not so much the style, but how Emos act and what they say.

Oh, and the poems, the poems are just sooo bad that their hysterical.

A line from a poem found in an Emos note book me and my buddy swiped a while back:

yes, generally it turns out that the real emo/goth or whatever you wanna call it are decent people who are that way from misfortunes in their past.
but like some of you others mentioned, its the pretend emos who ruin the style and give the "real" emos a bad name.

unfortunatly we only have "wanna-be" emos in this town, which has lead to the cops getting called in to our footy practice because some of the guys had some "problems" with them...

Well it's like this:

EMOs are EMOTIONALS...they live for the emotions-mainly depression.Most of the real emos have a past that is somewhat,troublesome,so they have the right to say ,,no1 Luvs me so id just die"....but look at it this way: That's how they feel because they're mainly lonely....so instead of tryina coarse and flame all em real emos try ter help em.
